Could be any antagonist from any RPG

Mine is Albedo from Xenosaga

Dagoth Ur. Easily Dagoth Ur.

Luca Blight. Harle from Chrono Cross is pretty good too, though not a main antagonist.

Emperor from FFII.

I don't have a creative or unique answer. It's Sephiroth, and it's not close.

For cosmic horror:
Lavos, Nyx, Nyarlathotep, Jenova

For straight up evil:
Kefka Palzaao, ExDeath, Luca Blight, Lucavi, Zanza, Ganon, Kuja (his goal is still largely self-serving), Kandori, Sigma

For Ambiguous/Well-Intentioned Extremist:
Sydney (Vagrant Story), Weigraf, Grahf, Albedo, Krelian, Ramsus, Jedah, Yuriko/Lilith, Big Boss, Emperor Barbarossa, Goddess Myria

Kefka. It will always be Kefka.

I don't count "Ids"/animal-like acting beings as they can't be good or evil and can only have a destructive nature concerning that but nothing intentional.

I'll have to go with Sephiroth. Kefka is a big contender, but he irritates me so much that Sephiroth edges him out in the end.

At least Sephiroth doesn't have an irritating laugh.

It is quite amazing how the goddess that we chased for the whole game turned out to be a half naked winged woman with a snake like lower body. Not what I am expecting from a goddess though. :bigsmile:

That's exactly what I expect from my goddesses. Exactly

Fou-lu comes to mind. I always appreciated how he starts out as a respectably good character with good intentions, but through dogged pursuit and torment ends up the ultimate villain. I especially appreciate the crap that he goes through, that hex in particular, makes the change fully understandable and less of an instant swap to meet an end. I may be able to think of someone I like more if I really try, but he was the first one I thought of, which probably means something.

Gabranth from FFXII, he's not the main antagonist in the game but he was so damn cool. I wish he joined the team.
