I don't think I would play a spinoff game because it's so well-developed inside X. You have the game itself, the traveling around to recruit people, the free agency rules...it's really nicely done. I feel like a game that reduced the FF aspect and played up the sporting aspect (obviously with better mechanics and such) would be somehow less appealing.
It is all I have ever wanted.
I want it more than the FFVII Re-make.
A spin off game would be awesome, especially if you could do 6v6 multiplayer like on EA sports games.

I am truly awful at Blitzball, so I wouldn't play it. I would get angry too quickly
If they could somehow, someway, make a blitzball game in the third dimension, and still have the game be coherent and easy to play, then maybe.

Not really. Part of what makes is fun is that it ties into the rest of the game.
Only if it is more action based AND lets you go ANYWHERE on the field, not just from left to right with in the exact center.
And only of you can jump out of the sphere and make cool signs to the hot babes

I actually tried to organise a game of Blitzball in real life with all my friends. This failed spectacularly due to a number of issues
- I couldn't get a large sphere of water to be suspended in mid air
- I don't really know the rules
- I didn't have a Blitzball
- None of my friends had a Blitzball
- None of my friends knew what Blitzball was
- None of my friends knew who I was
- I don't have any friends
Yes. I don't have any ideas of how it should be or what I would want from it, I just know that if they made it I'd most likely buy it.
