And finally, Divinity: Original Sin. Any fan of CRPGs should look into this recent beauty. It scratches that Balud'rs Gate / Planescape itch pretty good. Excellent tactical battle system. And even an extremely well done co-op play. It's so close to the perfect experience for a CRPG. Here's hoping they can afford to make a sequel which may come even closer to perfection

I've been meaning to get back to Phantasy Star, I started playing the original thanks to Virtual Console for my Wii. II and IV are the ones I'm most excited to play but I figured I'd appreciate them more if I played them in order.
IV and II are standouts. In that order. The rest of the series doesn't quite hit the same high note.
