Paris Games Week is another convention in the world of gaming. Why is it important? Well because it has Final Fantasy XV news of course! This time it was behind closed doors though.
Some fans of course naturally leaked some info. So here we are to share that!
Hajime Tabata was the one presenting the information and we learned a lot:
Fans reported that they saw wild chocobos running around.
They were also shown a fishing minigame. Tabata expressed he would like more minigames in the entry as he wanted to put them in Type-0 but he's focusing all his energy on XV.
Exploration is a big thing in this entry.
It's currently running on Lumonious 1.4 but will hopefully be at 2.0 by release.
New character Luna is shown more as well as a wig they have for her?
In exploration footage, that came after the video we saw from TGS, we get to see various monsters inspired by Yoshitaka Amano.
More info should be told tomorrow at the Square Enix Live event. We may get more details and more official videos. Chocobos are in it and so is a fishing minigame! What mingames do you want to see?

It says your post was 4 minutes before mine. This thread is much better than mine! :D can someone delete the thread I just made, please?! :) It's so exciting with all this news lately! Look forward to seeing the Chocobo design, and I wonder what kinds of mini games there will be?

This is...really looking impressive. Like, one of the most ambitions games in sheer size and scope I've seen in years.
The world looks freaking enormous.

Yeah, the Xbox One rendered Chocobo's can just go and KWEH themselves :pDMKA I agree. FFXV is looking beautiful, and by the sounds of it it's only going to get better. Too long a wait for the playable demo! D:

Night time looks like it's gonna get spooooooooky.
Maybe each of Final Fantasy XV characters or the playable ones or the party members, play instrument in the bar (which the mini game that I like to see is Final Fantasy character play instrument) and play the classic Final Fantasy soundtrack :D
If Square Enix could, they should create the water area and underwater area explorable. Like going underwater with diving suits. If not, just go directly underwater and fight enemies there.
If I'm not mistaken, in the first or second gameplay trailer (after the name changed to Final Fantasy XV), Noctis come from underwater right the before trailer about to finish. But I don't think both the water and the underwater area are fully explorable. Or is it already fully explorable?
But this is my opinion :)

Looking good, I like the fact I don't see a mini-map with objective markers. I am also digging them fully animating all of these old Amano FF monsters. The Goblin/Imps look pretty creepy in the darkness and the Naga and Catoblepas look impressive as well.

One thing I don't want is to be held by the hand. Skip the tutorial, save that stuff for the instruction manual. Old school!
After FFXV I don't see how Square Enix can ever go back to linear FF games like X and XIII again. This is very impressive! Love how it looks linear at first in the car but then as you stop off at the side of the road the world is your oyster! Also I think it's great how you drive past other road users, and see cars parked in the garages etc. I was a bit dubious that the main parties car would be the only car in the world, making it look really out of place. But all of a sudden it seems to add to the depth of the world. As for those day / night cycles. Wow. Chocobo's as well! Amazing. Now I may be asking for too much but I'd love for there to be Moogles in XV akin to those of XII. The XII design would fit much better here than say Mog from XIII-2, and if Goblins, Dinosaurs etc roam the earth then why can't can't little furry Moogle men and women HYPE INTENSIFIES!
Yep, in at around 13:20. These demos - although I could only watch a few moments on my break at work - look pretty awesome. :)

Bah, just made my own thread, there's a better quality version of the 1st Tech Demo there.

Ahh those weren't released last night when I wrote this. All I had was the cam version. Thanks for those videos though!

The fighting with the disappearing weapons still looks disorienting, but mini games are cool.

Incredible! I can't wait!
As a side note, imagine this with an Ivalice treatment, aw man.

Just watched the exploration video. The graphics are amazing but it all looks so...normal. Still not a fan of the modern setting. It's a fantasy video game. You could make purple trees with stars growing from them. Why make a bunch of normal trees and rocks and paved roads and water towers and power lines? I can see that trout looking out my window every day. I liked at the very end of the video when the airship things came, but then it ended. :(

I am sure there is much unrealistic landscape.

I must admit the "Fantasy based on Reality" still disappoints me a little, but I'll judge it on the story in the end. I am still holding hope that there will be some kind of fantasy areas, though, in the other regions of the map.

The videos are from just the stuff for the demo. That's not the whole world!
Which is super exciting if that's the exploration in just part of it

I believe the Kingdom of Lucis is the only truly "modern" kingdom in the world. Hopefully as we move further away from it the style of the world will become more and more fantastic.

Yeah, from how I understand it, the kingdom Noctis and friends come from is based off our modern real world but the other kingdoms are fantasy based.
Looking great though, starting to get pretty :excited: for XV, I want every minigame ever to be included but fishing is never unwelcome, even if none have ever matched the one in Breath of Fire III.
