FFV~
Right now it's IV. Not sure if that will change after having a proper playthrough of FFVI or not.
I really find it difficult to choose because they're all magnificent.
V by leaps and bounds.
I'm excited to see how this particular poll turns out. I know V has a lot of die-hard fans on this forum so I think it's gonna be a tight race!
V tied with VI?
Only on EoFF.
I went with IV cause you know, DK's are awesome.
all 3 are in my Top 5 so yeah thats good.
but im With FFV cos anyone who looks at my profile pic and my chat nickname should know that i really like Galuf
With my vote there's a three way tie.
Final Fantasy V...for reasons.
(SPOILER)http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...ps7b2d2c97.png
Jesus Christ, this is an even tighter race than the PSX poll.
FFIV for me.
told you some galuf warriors shall arrive
VI, duh
This is a really close game!
VI is the best game of the three, combining elements from both other games and having the best airship flying of any FF game, ever. I would often just fly around for absolutely no reason other than to go really fast and do huge banking turns. :D
Now somebody else vote for IV. Let's keep this trend going.
Final Fantasy IV. Though I am so glad that Final Fantasy V is getting tons of love and attention.

god bless
Broke the three-way tie! Woot!
I'm a fiver. Although i almost voted for six.
I feel bad for Mystic Quest. The music was nice.
Mystic Quest just sitting there like "Pick me! Pick me!"
-The moral of the story-
The SNES-era numbered FF's were so goddamn good that we can't even agree on which of them is better than another.
Everyone working at SE now must be fired, and everyone who was working at Squaresoft when these three games were made must be re-hired.
I've considered it was VI for years but when it comes down to it I think I enjoy playing IV more.
the epic race continues as its a tie between Cecil and Butz
It's probably better for my sanity if VI doesn't win, tbh
I think someday I'm going to start having nightmares that Siegfried in Figaro Cave's worm tunnels is a boss battle that is unwinnable or something :(
For you see, rather than being a skillful or educational experience, FFVI chose to be a sensory experience over the gameplay aspect. It's basically FFV with a closed Job System, and instead of buying Magic, you find it and learn it. That's it. That (and Blitzing) is largely the difference between the two, gameplay-wise.
Everything else is window dressing and melodrama. Otherwise, FFVI may as well run on FFV's engine. Hell, it might.
So here's to IV and V, for getting the love they deserve. And smurf Kefka, like seriously smurf that guy.
Wow VI is actually one behind.
I'm tempted to vote for it just to bring it back up to a three way tie.
Final Fantasy IV has taken the lead!
Edge: great ninja, or greatest ninja
Suckiest ninja to be honest. His magic and throwing skills are pretty worthless until the last fight, and he's only a so-so damage dealer.
Final Fantasy VI for sure. It's my favorite FF of all time.
FFVI. A lot of reasons and most of them are the omniperspective views of most of the characters. There's many protagonists but one great villain who actually succeded at his goal.
The 3 games released for the SNES are the most alike of any games in the series. They basically made 3 games for the price of one (and a few graphical upgrades here and there).
Think: beyond the job system in V (which is present, but closed, in the other 2), these games are almost exactly alike.
Slick move! Their stories and presentations make them unique, with a minimum of gimmickry.
Also, have you ever noticed that time appears to pass between the 3 games? By V, we have steamships and crystal amplifiers. Indoor plumbing and Magitek by VI.
I don't think any other trilogy has maintained so steady a curve.
I'm part of that Galuf army Grunt was referring to. FFV easily wins this contest for me, because Galuf, Faris, Gilgamesh and an amazing job system. Oh, and Lenna with her wind drake, not to mention Syldra. Cid and Mid are okay as well, I suppose, but let's not forget the epic 'black' chocobo while we're talking about all the things.
Loving these poll results. It's almost a three way tie!
I think VI has the best story, characters, world, and villain. I think V is the most fun though, at least by a whisker, and as I've said elsewhere the job system in that game verges on perfection. I voted for V.
