I voted for "awesome". But really? I don't know. Wish I'd voted for "it could go either way". They'd probably end up getting on eachothers nerves eventually.

Hmmm I dunno. I always naturally saw Selphie with Irvine. But I could see their personalities working together. Although Zell may be a bit too aggressive and hot headed.
If the two most annoying main characters in the history of FF got together I would definitely have to take classes to become a train conductor just so I can run them over with a freight train. They both need Adderall.
I'm sorry but I don't remember any characters in FFVIII apart from Squall, Rinoa, Seifer and Laguna. I do recall a cadre of cardboard cutouts who had no real reason to be there and who were given speaking roles because...I honestly don't know.
If "Zell" and "Selphie" are two of those personality-less cutouts, sure why not. Lifeless things deserve to be together too.
See it's strange, I've always thought FFVIII had one of the strongest casts in the series!
That being said I actually like the idea of Selphie and Zell. I just never liked Irvine tho.
They are both equally annoying characters. So on that level, sure, they could go together. But Zell and Girl From the Library forever.

Well if Irvine fails to keep his dick in his pants, Zell would be a decent runner up for her.
Nah, they're way too hyperactive for one another. Besides, I recall segments in the game where if you'll let Zell tell his "awesome" pull-up story in Balamb, Selphie will flat out tell him he's weird. So yeah...I can't see this happening.
Someone mentioned Selphie looking natural in Irvine's hat, I concur! Yes, it fits perfectly!
I can honestly picture Selphie with either Irvine or Squall, both are well developed men, I'd say.
I don't think they would be awesome or awful. They'd have moments, I suppose. But really, Selphie is gaga for Irvine regardless of how much he does or doesn't deserve her.
I feel Zell needs someone like Library Pigtails Girl who he so admires. I get the feeling they would compliment each other well.
