I like to imagine an elf, but I'd probably be a hobbit or something.

I actually auditioned to be an Elf extra in The Hobbit. Didn't get it even though the only requirement was being tall, which is something I do every day. :cry:
It is tempting to pick an elf, since it would be cool to be one of the firstborn fabulous-looking immortal beautiful people.
However, it would probably also kinda suck to see friends from other races die all the time, and I could imagine that it would become more and more tiring to be alive year after year without any end.
But even if you were deathless, and never became sick, there is still always a statistical risk that you would die each year from serious injuries;
I believe that the average odds of surviving each year are something around 0.99, so that would mean that a lot of elves would be very likely to die after maybe 2,000 years, except for a few of them, depending on their lifestyle.
A dwarf, suits my drunk and aggressive in situations that don't require it personality.
