Stratego.
With the old school board.

these are all smurfing pleb options
Cluedo and Risk are pretty damn fun, but my favorite board game is Settlers of Catan.
Guess Who?
Duh.
I picked Scrabble. But I'd probably prefer Settlers of Catan.
Trivial Pursuit. I know a lot of useless information. Battleship is fun too because noone can predict me. I one time won by putting everyship in line going straight down the middle.
Stratego is my favorite. Clue, Risk, Sorry!, monopoly and Life are all fun to play!
Clue, Trouble, Monopoly, Boggle, I have a ton lol
I really enjoy the Game of Life, Cluedo, and Monopoly!
Cluuuuuuuuuue!
Monopoly. I'm cutthroat and ruthless in that game. As well, a few weeks ago, myself, my cousin, and one of my cousin's friends sat in a Panda Express for 3 hours playing Monopoly, cracking jokes and laughing our asses off the whole time. Had about 60-80 people come in, get their food, eat, and leave in that entire time; not a single customer nor employee said a word to us. When we were finished, we packed up and left without a word, too.
My favorite board game is likely Hero Quest, with Key to the Kingdom a close second, though the fusion of both I made as a kid is clearly the best board game evah. :roll2
Outside of those it depends a bit on who I am playing with, as Flying Pirates is a ton of fun with young children and easily my favorite 'kiddie' board game, while Monopoly is great with a lot of people, especially when people bring unique house rules into the mix. I also have a ton of fun with Stratego, but no one I know owns the game, and, it turns out, I'm quite terrible at it. :ohdear:
It's a tie between Life and Clue
Out of those choices, probably chess.
13 Dead End Drive
If you haven't played it, you need to. Ridiculous fun.
I went w/ Trivial Pursuit, but Scrabble is a close 2nd.
there's so much smurfing pleb going down in this thread, im assigning you all some required reading, and its just a cracked article so theres no reason not to
plebs
I think I prefer the Dice Tower take on that.
Monopoly has always been a favorite of mine. Scrabble is a big favorite too.
I don't remember the last time I even played a board game. LOL.
Monogamy!
If you haven't tried it- look it up and get one!! ;-)
In all seriousness, probably monopoly. I like to hand out the money though... Trust no-one :shifty:
I only have two things to say :

Parceheesi for me. Still have the board game in my closet with some other stuff. Apart from that I played a lot of Candy Land, Checkers, and Monopoly growing up. There was another game I enjoyed that had play money too and all the board pieces were dollar signs, but I can't remember the name of it.
I grew up playing chess, checkers and monopoly. Old classics!
I only got to play it once, but yes, it's good. It's challenging, and it has just the right amount of subtle treachery to keep you on your toes about who the traitor might be (if there is one) and how is he gonna screw the whole team. And since everyone has his own agenda which may or may not help the whole team... Forget about who your friends are outside of the game xD
I forgot to mention that I'm a fan of Cheap Ass games. I used to play a lot of them with friends years ago, but not so much anymore. :(
I was reminded by staring at Endless's pile of games, because that's one of the main points of the Cheap Ass product line. To hold down costs for each game they only come with the unique components that make up each specific game. Everything else (dice, timers, player pieces, chips, etc.) you're suppose to scavenge/borrow from other games you already own.
I've never paid more than 10 dollars for a Cheap Ass game, and they're all pretty fun. I don't know what my favorite is, but Unexploded Cow and Bitin' off Hedz both come to mind.
