For the next X Men movie, apparently Turner (Sansa Stark!) has been cast as Jean Grey!

Whut? How does that make sense with the ending of Days of Future Past?
I know my brother will be happy someone younger is playing the part, though.
The next X-Men movie is based in the 80s, so they can't have Famke Janssen play a role 30~ years younger.
Yeah it'll be set when they're younger and stuff.
I heard Picard & Gandalf won't be in this one as well.
They're lucky I like the actors who play their younger incarnations or tables would be flipped. So many tables!
Kind of hard to imagine, but this might be brilliant. I wasn't a fan of Turner at first, but man some of that work toward the end of last season of GoT was truly brilliant.
It's hard for me to imagine her being anything other than pouty, weeping Sansa, which quite frankly drives me up the wall.
Don't see any names that look particularly fabulous for this casting. Only really interested in the young Magneto, young Xavier storyline right now.
FassAvoy Mutant Makeout Session? Hell yeah, I'd watch that.
Bryan Singer must really like Game of Thrones. The bad thing about being on that show is that the entire cast is forever typecasted as those characters by fans everywhere they appear.
I've heard some people say that Deborah Ann Woll should be Jean Grey. Thoughts?
Perhaps she could pull it off, but not based on anything she's shown in her work so far (which, to be fair, isn't necessarily her fault). She could do the flirty seductive side of Jean, maybe, but I don't think she's right for the standoffish, serious, dangerous, psychopathic aspects of Jean's character. TBF, I never would have that that Sophie Turner could pull any of that off, either, but she showed signs fairly recently that she really can act.
I'm worried and excited. Excited to see her show off some chops, worried that she won't.
Yet her character will still be paired with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, that'll be strange to see haha
I can see Sophie doing a good young Jean Grey. I have no problems with this casting - I mean, just because we know them so well in one specific role doesn't mean they shouldn't get a shot in other roles, and this is a good start for moving away from being typecast for her.
Tye Sheridan I don't know about. Same for Alexandra Shipp. Will reserve judgement as always until I see the film, actors these days often surprise me.
That should be a bankable offence Shauna. Get to work. Chop chop.
Mirage.
For your crimes against the elderly...
I'm taking you...

To the bank.
Autocorrect is a fickle mistress.

Just because something's true doesn't mean you have to say it, Mirage.

I have a friend who will graduate from the University where Patrick Stewart works.
He will hand her her degree.
Unless he dies first, of course. :(
