The Legend of Zelda: The Live Action TV show

Just heard the news that Netflix is working on a live-action TV series of The Legend of Zelda.

Netflix is said to be working closely with Nintendo, the Japanese game developer that has made about 20 “The Legend of Zelda” games since the original, which was released in the U.S. in 1987.

I'm greatly looking forward to this happening. It will either be incredibly amazing or insufferably awful and I find the thought of either to be amusing.

I've been pretty impressed with netflix originals so i'm excited.

I have a feeling someone stupid like channing tatum, or Bradley Cooper as Link.

My fiance believes a young Heath Ledger may have done good though.

I'm in the camp that thinks it will be entertaining if it is actually done well or done very poorly. Which is why I am fearful that the end product will be mediocre.

It is going to be extremely hard to make a Zelda show. You can't just film some guy constantly fighting in dungeons. But it seems the only other option is just to have people cosplaying as Zelda characters talking to each other. The latter vision of mine could work, but I don't know. This might be a little weird.

Well they certainly have a lot more interesting material to work with than compared to the original cartoon. I'm guessing they'll make it a completely new adventure in a new carnation of Hyrule, and that to me has a lot of great potential. So I'm looking forward to it!

I just don't know how to feel about this. Elated? Horrified? LoZ is my favorite gaming franchise. Hands down. And I like every Netflix show. I am feeling so many feelings.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

So long as they cast Morgan Freeman to do the voice of Navi, I"m down.
