Opinion harder
Harem Anime is stupid.
Zoisite being turned into a woman in the English dub of Sailor Moon wasn't a bad thing. Children's first introduction to homosexuality didn't need to be two villains absorbing energy. The sex change was a blessing in disguise, really.
All Anime sucks except Cowboy Bebop.
...
Well you said opinion harder.
Unpopular, huh...
Cowboy Bebop is just kinda average. Baccano! does everything it does well better.
Neither NGE nor TTGL were particularly good.
The second arc of Sword Art Online was good. Not as good as the first one, but not bad.
Code Geass is better than Death Note. If only because of Zero Requiem.
Visual novel adaptations are the best kind of anime series. *totally not biased*
CLANNAD After Story MASSIVE SpoilersNagisa's death was sadder than Ushio's.
Nisemonogatari was a terrible, boring, depraved sequel to what was genuinely one of the smartest, most original series I had ever seen. I'd never been quite so repulsed in my life.
I'm not that deep into anime, but I know that my opinions on some things are unpopular. Yes, I know I complained about the circlejerk in the gaming thread, leave me alone!!
*I like DBZ. I think its charm outweighs any flaws the series has.
*I enjoyed the second half of Death Note. Near was a cool character.
*I enjoyed Samurai Champloo way more than Cowboy Beebop.
*Though Rah-Xephon borrowed a lot of Evangelion, I think Rah-Xephon is a vastly superior in every way (I do enjoy Evangelion, though).
I've been meaning to watch Rah Xephon for a while now, ever since I finished watching most of the Gundm shows. That or Eureka Seven.
Honestly, Rah-Xephon is very underrated. It's a wonderful series and has a very powerful soundtrack.
I hate Sakura from the Naruto series. She's a bitch. :mad2:
Anime is less about telling a cohesive story and more about TITTAYS
Speaking of harem anime, here's a person who has seen nothing but those.
I really like Inuyasha and everyone says they hate it :(
Sword Art Online was really bad
I love Inuyasha. I have remained an unwavering fanboy to it for over a decade now. Let's be e-buddies.
(SPOILER)
This song lowers the Nostalgia Hammer on me like no other.
My unpopular opinions largely fall into the old man syndrome of " Today's anime sucks and lacks soul and character. It simply replaces it with T and A. Back in my day, anime was awesome!" which is basically revealing that back then I didn't know any better, and if the internet was more prominent, it would be filled with people whining about my generation of anime compared to theirs...
To be fair it only matters in the beginning and then one part later. Once the reincarnation angle kicks in, it feels a little less Squick. The incest angle starts the plot moving but when the real story shows up, it becomes its own thing and incest angle is largely dropped until the trial scene, by which point the utter battrout crazyness of the rest of the cast will make you wonder why everyone is making a big deal about it. Also Lucifer is an awesome character, as are the four Serephs.
Maybe someday?
I highly recommend Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei to anyone, though. It's crazy, and it satirizes everything, including the amount of T&A in anime.
