Is Braska's Final Aeon the final boss of X, cause Otherworld is great. If Yu Yeven counts as the final boss, then I'm going with Cloud of Darkness' theme.
The Extreme is the best whether you include those two or not. :colbert:

Dark Messenger for Super Saiyan 4 Kuja.
I love both The Extreme and Grand Cross, but I have to give it to The Extreme on balance just for having a better intro. If they'd been sensible in IX though and ended the game after the proper final boss i.e. Kuja, then I would have had an even tougher decision because Dark Messenger is fantastic.
I think ill say a top 5.

This is a tie between The Extreme and The Final Battle from Final Fantasy IX.

I enjoy The Extreme until it finally jumps into the faster tempo and "main theme" then it just sounds like some unused boss theme that was written for FFVII with some elements of the Battle with the Four Fiends mixed in. The opening minute and a half of that theme is gold and I would have liked if the whole theme had continued down that road.
The Final Boss Battle Theme from FFTactics Advance is actually pretty fine as well despite the limitations of the GBA sound card.. Much better than the one from FFTactics.

That's because Caius' theme is incredibly dull. Sure, it sounds epic enough, but it has nothing interesting going on in it structure-wise. Naoshi Mizuta is an okay composer that writes memorable of generic melodies, but he really can't compare with Uematsu, Shimomura, Hamauzu, Mitsuda, Sakimoto, etc. :monster:
I'd say it served the purpose well enough in the game, at least, because it was one of the first to spring to mind. Different tastes, though.
As for all those other composers, while I love them all, the final boss themes they have come up with don't tend to feel as great when I play them back, either, so... :shrug:

Oh yeah, I forgot. Revo is pretty amazing.
Bravely Default counts as FF, so I'll just put Wicked Flight as my choice here :smug:
Speaking of which, Revo's successor to the series, ryō, has given us a pretty bitchin' final battle theme for Bravely Second.
My favorite one si Dancing Mad, followed closely by Dark Messenger.
Also, not sure if this is really a final battle track, but this theme from Crystal Chronicles is just godly
