Eggy Bread is such a Nor'n England thing to say.
French Toast.
See I would call the sweet, cinnamon version French Toast. But the salty delicious one is eggy bread.
Ya crazy geordie

French toast
This is going swimmingly :D
French Toast, though I'm not sure what's so French about it :colbert:
There's egg and there's bread. Seems pretty straightforward that it should be called eggy bread. :p
I've had this round my Nan's (who's from and lives in Cheshire). I think she called it something else, but I can't remember what, so I'm going with eggy bread.
Electro rope is the best word I've learned in ages.
I voted for what I thought said French Toast but it actually says 'French Bread', which is something completely unrelated. And a bit racist, to be franc.
Eggy Bread forever, you philistines.
See? It's the North.
This. And I'm not a northerner whattup. And neither is Mr Pukka himself: http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/e...es/eggy-bread/
THE.
NORTH.
wth, eggy bread?
There's egg and there's bread. Makes more sense as a name than French toast/bread (whichever one of those it is, I don't know).:p Unless you grind Frenchmen into a powder and sprinkle it on your eggy bread, in which case that name is totally legit. You psycho. :screwy:
Yeah, can't name something after its component ingredients, that's madness. Let's set up a ban on chicken parmesan, spaghetti bolognese and common smurfing sense.
I made some toast once when I was in France.
I called it French Toast.
I think you mean Icelandic potatoes.
Apparently in your country it is called a parmi. And if that's what Australia calls it, that rests my case.
That's what I've seen it called in the good ol' US of A, the country that invented it, and I'm inclined to trust the word of Uncle Sam over an ocker who thinks going to Maccas in his trackie daks in the arvo is grouse when really you've got tickets on yourself yer drongo.
Oh go eat a spotted dick.
I have heard of Chicken Parmigiana. I have not heard of Chicken Parmesan. I was merely making an educated guess as to what it consisted of.
French Toast of course.
