Everything above NES era, 8 bit aint my thing
Newer and middle. Any earlier than PlayStation 2 era is very rare for me to be playing.
I mostly stick to the old stuff.
Older and middle games, mostly anything from PS2 era and some NES/SNES games which I play on my Pegazus. :hattip:
Yes.
Everything
I mostly stick to older games, but every now and then something new comes out that I think is worth checking out.
Age doesn't really factor into my choice of what to play.
Picked other. If I like a game I'll play it age of the game doesn't matter, as long as the story is great!
my last system was a ps3 and I only bought it to play ps1 games I never had the chance to when I was younger
I have no conceptualization of what is new or hot these days if I dont hear a majority of people raving about it
I'll play anything.
Both for me.
I meant to vote for "I play it all!" but I accidentally clicked "Other" right before submitting :(
anything from SNES/Amiga era to PS2 era. as it stands anyway. i dont like paying out for newer technology when i still enjoy the oldies (and PS2 had a HUGE catalogue, and PS1s isnt bad either)
Well, I'm currently playing FFII and The Last of Us. Those games are separated by 25 years.
Yeah, I play anything and everything.
Mostly older though will play the odd newer game from time to time :jess:
Mostly new games, but for PC I dabble in older games when I can be bothered.
Both, however I seem to favor the simplicity of older nes ans snes games. Im all for dying 100 times in ninja gaiden much more than dying once in an rpg where you forget to save.
I guess what I mean to say is that I enjoy newer games and do play them, but I find myself going back to simpler days when all I've got is like two hours (which is much more likely than having an open day to game.)
Both! Right now I'm playing Vagrant Story, as well as Dark Souls PvP (like always) but soon enough I'll start Darkest Dungeon which is new!
I've pretty much played all the older games I've wanted to play so all that's left are the newer ones. Occasionally I will play a PS1 classic on my PSP but otherwise I only play current gen or previous gen games.
Older games. Not a fan of modern gaming. Only once in a while does a modern game catch my interest.
I might or might not be playing an old emu that shall not be named, and things I'm waiting for are 2017+ it seems.
/ le sigh...
I don't mind old graphics and styles and such but game controls have grown a lot more intuitive and responsive in recent times and it's hard going back to clunky interfaces
Though the thing I miss most about the ps1 era is how it was ok for environments to be aranged in nice neat 45 or 90 degree angles (Like in MGS, THPS2, and Vagrant Story).
I used to play a lot of games considered retro today, but I mostly find now that I try and find games that bring new experiences in an effort to find new form of entertainment.
I have a strong preference for older games, however I play some new games as well.
All in all it's a mixed bag for me. I don't like the direction a lot of new games are heading these days, but there's those few games I certainly do enjoy.
Older games will always hold a special place in my heart, though.
Both. The last new one I have played was Life is Strange. I am actually on my second run currently.
