Man, this is the one I haven't played that I'm the most excited for. I'm trawling through FFII at the minute but that won't be threatening my Final Fantasy top three any time soon.

Though I think the DS/Steam version is the ultimate way to experience FFIV, the original is still pretty dang good!

The DS remake isn't very noob friendly though- the 'easy type ' is the best way to go, despite the ancient graphics of ye yore.Quote:

So I had another crack on this last night.
Saved Rosa, thought aye, wicked, a White Mage! So was having a bit of a strategy with my party. Leveled her up a bit, Edworst wasn't being so bad and I figured out what he can do in my line up.... Picked up Yang! Thought it was sweet.... Then Rosa went and got bloody kidnapped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND NOW MY PARTY GETS EATEN BY LEVIATHAN AND I'M ON MY SODDING OWN.
I think Edward is a magickarp character. He's pretty useless at first but if you put the time to level him to an absurd amount (which no one does) he's like super useful. I could be misremembering though. Not worth the effort if you don't like the character and it wouldn't even really be possible for a while now, just discussing
I really liked the game and I hope you enjoy it as well.
Yeah, Edward actually has the best Stat growth possibilities in the game but only after the level 70 range, so you would have to be playing the GBA version or hacking him into the game to see this. I believe even the The After Years retained this about him.Quote:
