It was pretty surprising, but I think it's a great fit! I wasn't even familiar with Florence + The Machine before that, but the performance is very nice!
But no one rocks the song as much as Barney.
Is it weird the most memorable version of the song for me is the one by Timone and Pumba?

Florence and the Machine are dreadful, she over-emotes in every song. Really didn't need her making a mess out of a song as good as Stand By Me!
Thought that it was so beautiful and brought more heart to the game. Don't know if the song is the best choice for FF 15 though ? It would've been so good for FF8, FF9 or FF10 as it is a romantic love ballad. I can't imagine any of Noct's friends ever calling him darling lmao.
I just heard it. Florence + The Machine are really good artists, and she gives a great rendition of this song. It really fits the theme well for this game: brotherhood, camaraderie and companionship. She gives every song a haunting feeling.
People may rail against the four brotagonists, but if they play it right, I'm really going to enjoy watching these four characters develop together.
At first it seemed unusual, but I think it fits really well. I'm also super pumped for the rest of the music in this game, it sounds incredible.
ya same
Florence has an amazing voice. She did a great job with this. She kept it simple and didn't try to do too much. Perfect.
Notice how the instrumentation uses a lot of those classic FF harp arpeggios. I think Florence may be an FF fan
I spoke with Mr. Carny about this, and he listened to it and was deeply disappointed, calling it 'by the numbers'. I think he means it's overly simple, but I have to disagree.
The simplicity is what makes it great!
Well if it's anything like the film one of the characters will die later in life and one will grow up to become the most hated character on a Star Trek series.
I like it. Probably my favourite thing released for 15.
Florence has, on occasion, butchered some tunes. This is not one of them. Goosebumps everywhur
