Spuuky and I have been playing this over the last few days - it's fun to play Pokemon again! I miss battling, and the challenge of having to catch a pokemon - I have yet to have one get away - but catching 'em all is still addictive after all these years. Going to go see how many I can catch this evening - we are currently at level 9 and 39/150 :D

I haven't had a good chance to play or even start up yet, but I might next big break I get.
The attention this game is getting is insane. Nearly every time I go out people are playing. I now get approached and talk to people who play and people who don't play. It's crazy.
The game is simple, but it just so fun to actually walk around and finally get a couple of new Pokemon. Plus, it's cool to see what counts as landmarks in your local towns! I someone won 10 gym battles even though I rarely decide to do that. I just have fun trying to find new Pokemon!
I joined team mystic, and I currently have 40.
Caught a Magmar and a Pinsir on the train today. :bigsmile:
It rarely works for me but I have a couple of Pokemon
Caught about fifty pokemon and then transferred most of them to Professor Willow (where is Professor Oak?); evolved our kakuna and nidoran, struck out in a gym battle. It's so surreal seeing hordes of people out and staring at their phones intently.

When you say several other people do you mean the hardcore Pokemon fanbase? That's not who the game's target audience is. It's meant to be a gateway into Pokemon for more casual gamers and kids. It's definitely not some deep strategy game - just go out, explore and have fun. And take the opportunity to get some new fans into the hobby you love!
If technology like this existed in the 90's then OMG I WOULD TOTES BE ALL OVER THIS. However for me I'd like Pokemon to stay a part of my childhood, and I have no intention of playing this game when it's available. Blue, Yellow and Stadium were the only Pokemon games I ever played as after Gameboy Colour (I had a swanky Lime green one) I never kept up with the Nintendo handhelds.
So, it was like, 11.30pm, and Spuuky and I were standing on a dodgy dark street corner while I was trying to take over the nearest gym. Two dudes rock up and one of them asks, "Hey, what team are you on?" and I reply, "Team Mystic" without looking up from the phone. One of the guys asks if I want help taking down the gym, and they stop and between the three of us, we take the gym over from Instinct to Mystic. I think they might have been drinking - one of the guys dropped his phone - but they told me I could place my pokemon on the top of the gym and told us to have a nice night, they were off to try find a Koffing :D
Seriously I think Spuuky has spoken to more random people today than he has in his entire life and it's all because of pokemon
Don't worry Fynn, they'll probably add updates and expansions to the original 151 pokemon. They'd want to know there would be a market for them taking the time to implement the next generation's pokemon. Whether or not they'll be free or not depends on the cynicism of the person.
And like Psychotic said: it is very much a casual game. I don't have it, because I don't really own a smartphone, but the paring down of the battle system and emphasis on collecting makes it more casual. It's a neat idea, to be honest. It's getting people to venture outside and take longer or different routes walking (sometimes towards a mugging, admittedly).
Of course. And I've heard casual fans and even people who hadn't had anything to do with Pokemon at all before say that they'd be really excited if there were more. I'm honestly not arguing for this to implement more complex mechanics, just more Pokemon for collection purposes. Because this game is all about the collection.Quote:

I don't doubt they'll add them in later when interest starts to flag. But I also don't think their absence at launch is a stick to beat the game with. It's a lot of fun as is!

It's hard to find all the pokemon so for those who complain about it "just being the first gen" it's not like you can find them all. Some are based more regionally. I have hardly seen any water based or fire based ones myself except randomly at lures. Grass ones though? Oh wow.

The games been fun so far. It's just been cool to go on walks with coworkers and friends and all bond over Pokémon. The town square has the big courthouse in the middle as a gym and pokestops at like every store so there were about 100 people wandering around and collecting Pokemon the other day. I'd never seen so many people there before. It'ss such a weird but cool phenomenon.
I'm also on team mystic! I'm surprised so many people I know joined that one.
I have to use sharky's phone and he's usually at work and when I have some free time, the game is usually having server problems. Last night when I was taking a gym break I caught two Pokemon, but when I was going for a walk before that it wasn't working. I'm only like level 2 or 3 and I only have maybe 9 Pokemon? Mostly repeats. Hopefully this weekend or something it'll work again!
Keep all your pidgeys you catch! When you get to a higher level you get awarded a "lucky egg". It gives you boosted XP for 30 mins. Pidgeys only cost 12 Pidgey candy to evolve. Them, Weedles, and Caterpies are the cheapest to evolve.
Hit lucky egg > Evolve tons of pidgeys > get 1000 xp for each evolution > power level! > Profit!
Game is super addicting and a great excuse to walk around and explore the world. I'm currently level 7 and have 24 types and a couple evolutions. I work in a down town area and there's always a ton of stuff, but too many damn pidgeys and rattatas. I hear the pokemon somewhat follow the type of location (water type by water) so am I getting all the dirty pokemon because I'm in a city? :tongue: Though, by my house there seems to be a population of eevees. :D

Common pokemon, like pidgey and rattata, are found in cities, because people commonly live in urban areas. I've only found one Eevee in a shady alleyway in South St. Louis so far.
are mew/mewtwo available?
im trying to think where theyd be, like would you have to go to a high tec lab for mewtwo? lol
My office is basically surrounded by Eevees full-time.

I begrudgingly downloaded it because why not (I wasn't a fan when pokemon first hit the US or even became huge, I was a bit older and "too cool" for pokemans) and I'm having more fun with it than I thought I would! It makes park walks more interesting and its kind of astonishing to see so many people walking around. I wonder if you're more likely to find ghost types at graveyards....there's one not too far from my apartment.
When Nintendo first announced it I didn't think anything of it. I never expected it to blow up like this. It's like the 90's again.
I installed this for a giggle the other day seeing as I walk to work and back twice a day. That feel when you're about to catch a Pigeot but it requires you to basically hold your phone up to a car window while the owner is sitting inside wondering what the hell you're doing.
Tried it but I wasn't a huge fan. I already go out for walks every day and I don't like taking my phone or wallet or anything, so I already am not taking full advantage of it.
This is such a massive pet peeve of mine. If I get a game, I want to have the entire game open to me at all times. This event lockout nonsense is what makes me avoid buying Pokémon games in the first place.Quote:

The game drains your battery like crazy and freezes up on me constantly, but damn it is fun. My only real complaint is that pokemon density seems to be entirely driven by population density. So SOL to anyone who lives in a rural area? Even living in a suburb of a fairly large city I have to walk pretty far to find anything in my neighborhood. But at work in downtown, stuff pops up constantly.
Can confirm. I live in a brand new area that only just got added to Google Maps in the past year or so, and it is smurfing barren. Around my office? Dawn of the Pidgeys.
Downloaded it out of curiosity as it went live in the UK today. Caught a few round the house but it's honestly doing nothing for me. Maybe it's the crappy UK weather but I've got no desire to go walkabout looking for them. So yeah, it's a "meh" from me.

Caught a Pikachu today and life is good.
It would be cool if what pokemon were available to you to capture was based on what team you joined, and you had to trade to get the others. Basically, the old red/blue/yellow GB system.
I've had an Abra and Ponyta both just chilling in my apartment. Got Rhyhorn at the grocery store and Pikachu at work. And I just open the app for a couple minutes a day. I'm pretty happy with my haul so far considering I'm being real casual.

T-Mobile is exempting Pokemon Go from data plans (aka giving you unlimited Pokemon Go aside from whatever data you use otherwise) like they do with Pandora or whatever. I wish I got more of those ones! I have a whole one Rattatta and one Peegee so far. I have seen Weedle so often in the bottom right but never actually seen him pop in my zone. So annoying.
Also, for those unaware, you should start updating pokecrew.com so people can start locating the various Pokémon in your area. The more people that use it, the better. It keeps saying error whenever I submit any sightings but it still seems to record them and I've already spotted some decent locations to farm some Pokémon I haven't seen so far.
I have reserved a weekend time to just catch Pokemon. It keeps cutting out on me but by gosh I will get to level 5 by Monday!

So yesterday I was sitting in my living room and then suddenly darted outside, running up and down the street because there was a Snorlax nearby. Caught him at the end of my block and he's by far my strongest pokemon. My wife saw me running around through the curtains and thought it was some crazy man. I guess it was.
I've can't wait for trading to be added in. I have a lot of eevee and clefairy where I live. I also just got a Vaporeon with 1070 CP, and it knows hydro pump. :bigsmile:
I just want a better way to level up Pokémon at the moment. The only thing we can do is power up, really, because getting a gym spot is nigh on impossible for latecomers like myself. =[
Nah, gyms are easy. You can use 6 to attack them. So you can widdle them down and take it over. You may not keep it, but it's not hard to take em down.

Is there any way to tell the game the maximum radius away from your starting position?
I would prefer to have the Pokemons appear mostly in my neighbourhood, and a radius of maybe 1-2 kilometers would be nice.
I actually am finding all the crazy stories and media coverage around the game more amusing than the game itself.
I think the game is neat though. Very simple yet strangely addicting.

Lapras is my strongest so far at 768. I won a battle at a gym but then got too far away from it because of GPS so it stopped before I could taken on the second Pokémon.
Growlithe showed up too but I couldn't catch him. :( He ran away.
I hit level 20 this weekend and i'm blargh on it. I caught a ton of magikarp at OKC which was amusing but the servers are such trash and I'm just seeing the same things over and over. There are a lot I don't have but aren't really in my region so that's lame.
Yeah, for all the addictiveness I do feel it's getting samey pretty fast. I think it'll be a bit more fun when the footprint thing actually works.
I will probably be more into it in the Fall when it's not hotter than Satan's Scrotum outside and I can walk my neighborhood and find the goddamn Dratini that is mocking me.
In case it hasn't been said, there is a trick to the footprint thing that one of my co-workers found. Tap on the nearby Pokemon button and then tap on the Pokemon you want to find. After you've done that, slowly rotate your device 360 degrees until the little box with the Pokemon and footprints pulsates green. Once it does that, you are now facing the direction where the Pokemon is. The closer you get to the Pokemon, the faster it pulsates and of course the number of steps will shrink.
Except the footprints are literally broken - the game is only capable of showing 3 footprints, for everything, and it has been that way for a couple of days.
Well that's dumb then. I haven't really played in a few days. I think the trick might still work though. The coworker who told me about it was tracking Pokemon fine yesterday or the day before with it. It will at least tell you where you need to walk. Hopefully the footprint thing gets fixed.

Ive been so pokemon go obsessed, I got gifted a pikachu outfit for my birthday! Too bad it's too hot to go out in it, otherwise I would hahaha

15 out of 150 so far. Not bad for day one and not really trying.
Up to 50 caught pokemon. I saw Porygon yesterday but it ran away after one throw. :(
Did you feed it berries? I've started feeding berries to anything new, mostly because I need more room to collect pokeballs.
I fed it the berry and used a Great Ball too!

Hatched a Magmar today. Also caught a bulbasaur and a squirtle and hit level 16. Stockpiling pidgeys to evolve them all at once with a lucky egg. :bigsmile:
I haven't caught Pikachu yet. This blows.
Caught a Growlithe, Machamp, Pinser, and whole lot of common types. Got to level 6, almost level seven and I'm halfway through the walking requirements to hatch my first egg. Still haven't joined a team yet.
What's the point of the lures if they only attract pidgeys and ratattas and zubats?
I've never played any Pokemon before this so I have no idea what I'm doing but I've caught 7000 Weedles so I have that going for me!
That's disappointing, but I guess harvest all the pidgeys and weedles (they take less candy) and then evolve them under the influence of a lucky egg?
I'm pretty sure lures are supposed to have a higher chance of attracting more uncommon Pokémon I think, so I feel like there should be some good stuff mixed in with the Commons. Maybe it just depends on where the lures are being set though?
Pokemon Go has definitely gotten me to walk around more, but now I refuse to take walks when the servers are down because it feels like a waste.

Apparently, we're having serious server issues in my area today. Went out to a few places to catch some more and spent most of my time staring at the loading screen before being booted out. The few times I did get on, the game quickly froze on me, which usually only "fixes" itself when I shut the app off and reboot it up, which sent me back to that loading screen and a dead battery.
I'm starting to think that I do better at night, it seems whenever I try to play in the day time, I run into these issues whereas at night, I have minimal issues.
I have the same issues in the late afternoon/evening. So it's kinda lame because I like to catch some Polemon coming back from work but can't because the game won't let me in.Quote:

Thursday was a feeding frenzy for me. Caught like 10 new types, including charmander, squirtle, ivysaur, jigglypuff, meowth. I also popped a lucky egg and evolved like 10 pidgeys to get to level 18.
Been busy lately potty training the kids, but I did catch a nidorina in the Taco bell drive thru.
Caught a Pikachu and Bellflower today. Evolved Weedle and Ratata cause I finally noticed I had enough candy for both. I also hatched a Horsea and Tentacool from eggs. Level 9 currently and still no team.

I haven't been able to play much but today I really did play! :D
Hit level 6, joined Team Valor! Caught a Squirtle, Clefairy, Growlithe, Horsea, Drowzee, Ponyta, Zubat, Eevee, Oddish, Weedle, Caterpie, Kakuna, Venonat, and Seaking. I also evolved my Pidgey and got 2 eggs from various pokestops!
It was fun, I went out and walked a bit. Then this evening my sister and I drove around our town hitting the pokestops - some with lures. We took a walk through the park and it was just quite nice! :) When she was driving I was catching us both Pokemon on our phones at the same time haha!

I have that many Hypno because I figure I can leave them lying around in gyms in obscure places someday. I'll probably get rid of the ones in the 800's soon enough and evolve all my 450+ Drowzee though. Basically I keep a few of each Pokémon and more than a few if they are L800+. If I run out of space I'll inevitably junk more of them, but for now, no harm in holding onto them. I transfer so many Drowzee that I don't need to worry about running out of candy anytime soon. Edinburgh is 50% Drowzee and 40% Zubat, I swear.
What does it mean when a Pokémon has a blue glow around it?

Whil I'm sure some of you have heard of this site, for others check out pokevision. This is a website that will actually tell you which Pokemon are in your area and how long they will be there.
I've yet to see Pokévision work for me. I mean, it displays things that are notably far away - usually Pidgey etc. so nothing special (although there is a Magmar a few miles from me). But it never shows the ones that spawn near my flat, which is pretty constant. No lures/incense requires.

Apparently there was a Pikachu at the bottom of my drive last week. We had a few of the local kids stood there trying to catch it, squealing.

Apparently you can currently only acquire 142 pokemon in each region. The legendary birds, Mewtwo, Mew, and ditto are not currently available and there appears to be a unique pokemon to every major region. Tauros being in North America and Mr. Mime in Western Europe. Anyone know the other one? Kangaskhan for Australia :p?

It's a neat idea but gets a bit boring, I'm low leveled compared to some friends who've had it before it was even officially released in the UK and they're obsessed over it.
Norway for me was pretty damn amazing for Pokemon catching. Seriously.
The number of Evee's in Hell was hilarious. I caught 3 without even leaving my breakfast table in the Hotel alone.
Rřrvik was something pretty special too for some things, plenty of Horsea, Tentacool, Goldeen and psyducks. Also a decent Primeape. The problem I had there was really my pokeball count which dwindled in single digits for most of my stay. Hatched a fair few eggs too with all the walking we did. Caught a Ryhorn only to hatch a better one two steps later which was funny.
Biggest disappointment was Borgann for me though. On Borgann I climbed a bloody mountain and not one step counted on my 10km egg. I was most upset.
Finding an Aerodactyl and Dragonite on the subway was amazing.
I know everyone has a Pikachu but I finally caught one and my god what a little trout. It broke out of Razz Berry nice throws and it's only level 65!
With the most recent update I'm grumpy. They took away tracking. They forced pokevision to close down. I swear pokemon that used to take 1 or two pokeballs, very simple low CP ones, are breaking out and wasting more balls.
It's sad.
I went to a big event in OKC this weekend. There were too many people there and I couldn't even get on the game without walking a distance away from everyone.
PokeVision shutting down is awful and it wouldn't have been needed in the first place if Niantic hadn't screwed up.
Yeah, if the in app radar actually worked it wouldn't have been needed. :( Before the update I manged to reach level 20 with 80 in my 'dex. Over halfway there!
Do you think they rushed the production of this game then? Because while plenty of people are enjoying it, I'm hearing so many (reasonable) complaints as well.
Oh for sure. They even said this isn't 10% of the game. Why release only 10% of the game? How could they not have expected the Gen 1 Hype. It was called Pokemania for a reason!
The biggest issue I have with niantic in the whole thing is the radio silence. Nothing. They just remove things and nothing. Their PR is horrible and it's making it worse.
Well the version that exists right now is 0.31. It's not even version 1. I think they had something workable and wanted to release it as sort of a trial run and didn't expect the popularity it got.Quote:

If you've already gotten an Associate's, you can list the BA as "in progress" on your resume. You might be surprised how often the "Requirements" are actually just what they are looking for in an ideal candidate, and how open companies (especially smaller companies, like Niantic) will be to negotiation. If the location isn't a problem, and you fulfill the rest, I'd say give it a shot.

I think the reason they haven't got anyone for the job yet is because people with common sense will know that it's a poisoned chalice. Can you imagine the crap you'd have to deal with every day from people around the entire world? It just seems like a really bad job to take if you're in that field. I mean, I suppose it's also a challenge and if you have thick skin you could make a seriously big name for yourself, especially if you come out relatively unscathed.
But yeah, hopefully we hear something soon. I agree that the game is getting a bit dull. I'm certainly playing it a lot less than I was before.

Got my first Seaking on the way to work today, and an egg hatched to give me my first Diglett. Very happy with that! :) I got a Mankey (10 CP xD) on the way home yesterday which was also a first. I'd gone days without a "first" before then. Also have got Venomoth and Parasect via evolutions.
I have a few "initial stage" Pokémon that have high CP and I'm pretty excited to see how well they evolve. A 625 Bellsprout, a 734 Growlithe and a 540 Oddish. I'm really hoping they turn into my first 2000 Pokémon eventually, but I don't know if that'll happen. I've started seeing a few 2000 Pokémon when I browse gyms, I wonder how rare it is to get them? The closest I've caught to that kind of level was a Snorlax which remains my most powerful Pokémon at 1539 (after I used a few power ups on it - it was 1400 or so initially if I recall correctly). Oddly I caught that Snorlax when I was around level 5-10 and now I'm level 22 and struggling to catch CP 10s sometimes. xD
Those annoyed that the last update removed the Nearby mechanic, will be happy to know that Niantic is actually testing a new and improved version with a few players. Besides some minor graphical changes, the new system will show you a quick picture of the nearest PoekStop it's by. You can also check an overview map to see a general area it may be in and will also allow you to makr it on your map for easier tracking in the main game.
If I have the new sightings thing, does that mean I have the new tracking too or is that what everyone has now? I read the new sightings thing was being tested so I'm curious if the other thing that read is wrong since I havent seen pictures of stops behind Pokemon or been able to pull up a map.
Sightings was rolled out to everyone, and is not as good as the original tracker but at least it's accurate (which we can't say about the tracker in effect for the last several weeks). Sightings basically tells you all the pokemon currently very close to you but not much else. However, if a pokemon drops from the list then you at least know it is in the opposite direction you are walking, and pokemon on the list are not too far away. It doesn't tell you anything about the relative distance of what is on the list, though.
The new Nearby feature is different and is what WK described above. It's only in effect in certain areas.

Caught a Gyrados on the way to work. I'm up to 101 pokemon caught and level 22. The experience to gain levels after 20 is brutal.
So far I'm level 20 (Team Valor, if you're wondering) and I've a Pokédex of "Caught 68, Seen 69" god damn Hitmonlee escaped me in my attempt to capture him.
Most powerful Pokémon so far are Pidgeot, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Hypno, Golduck and Parasect in that order for my "squad", I'm debating trying to raise my Raticate up massively from 525 as he knowns Hyper Beam and would effectively become a 1 shot kill.
There's a lot of very powerful Vaporeon, Golduck and Gyarados (and a few Poliwrath) in my area which means the fact that I have a powerful Jolteon is very useful.
Biggest gripe right now is simply this: 10km eggs. I managed to get 1 in Norway and sadly Mr Mime hatched from it (mid powered not even particularly worth the level up I think). Mr Mime is a 5km egg creature meaning I lost out on getting a top tier creature. Since coming back to the UK I've sadly not obtained a single 10km egg despite regularly hatching the 5km ones just by walking to work and home again daily.
Elusive starter is a Pikachu, I've hatched 3 Charmanders and a very powerful Bulbasaur. I've caught about 3 or 4 Squirtle's even though not hatched one. Yet even banging out 2km eggs like no tomorrow has not yielded a Pikachu.
I have held up in this gym for over a week now. O_O

Well now that I'm into the 20s and looking for that last 1/3 of pokemon, progress has been slow. I did get level 23 yesterday and I'm up to 110 pokemon caught. Apparently temperature matters so when I went to visit my parents in hot Antioch I caught a lot of Fire types.
That explains why I get so few fire types...
I haven't really played the game for a few weeks now. I just keep getting the same ones over and over, and for some reason all the really good Pokémon (high CP etc) were the ones I caught when I was below level 20. In my experience, the game is designed to hook you in early and just enjoy your company later on without giving you much reward at all. :(
Yeah the 'endgame' is brutal and there's not much to offer once you basically reach level 20 and catch what is in your area. It's fun to go to new areas to find different types but how are you supposed to catch 15 of them to evolve it?

The buddy system is kinda unbalanced. For example:
Magikarp gets 1 candy every 1km walked. Now given the fact that the game is dubious in it's distance tracking at times (I can walk fast enough to trip the "you're moving too fast" so god knows what it would do if I was to actually take my phone out on a run), this means you would have to walk at least 400km to get enough for a Gyarados. Ok, so Gyarados is top tier but 400km... lets put that in real terms: It's approximately 465km from London to Dublin with tracking problems and the Irish Sea in between, you'd probably not only have to walk that entire distance but still capture a load of Magikarp.
Starters are it seems 3km per candy. If you want a Charizard for example, you need approximately 125 candy (that's a whopping 375km!) to evolve from Charmander to Charizard. Then you need to walk in enough candy to level it up. This if you're near max CP is not so bad. Lets face it, walking 9km for 3 candy to do an upgrade isn't the worst but if your Charmander isn't maxed out, you're screwed.
Personally, I think that the buddy system should be the distance = 5 candy each time it's walked. This would mean that a Charizard is still nearly 30km to walk it in if you can't find a nest of them and bum out on the 2km eggs getting a Charmander. A Gyarados is still approximately 80km to walk it in without any captures. That would still be a bloody long walk (almost the same as London to Brighton and I am sure any person who has walked on a 100km challenge would tell you it's not exactly easy) but much more do-able than 400km!
It was added as something extra to encourage more moving around. Capturing more of the same breed is still the best way to build candy. Magikarp are everywhere, you'll get enough eventually.
Playing Pokemon Go made me crave the real game again so now I'm busy breeding up perfect Greninjas to be as interested in this. I did evolve a Blastoise the other day and now I'm up to level 23 with 123 pokemon captured.
Also worth noting that I was happily able to spend a couple of hours walking around Edinburgh to hatch a 10k egg. And I did walk at least 8k of that 10k before you mention tracking issues. xD I checked it later on Google, it was less than 10, but not too much. That was just walking home from work and then around a couple of extra blocks. Not 400k, no, but keep in mind that this isn't supposed to be something you do in a single day. If I had my phone out every day like I used to when Go was still fresh, I'm pretty sure I would have managed 400k over a month or two, which isn't shabby.
Anyone else been enjoying the Halloween event? Parade of the Cubones, Meowths and Gastlys! Oh, yeah, and the ubiquitous Drowzees because of course that's what we needed more of.
Also even more excitingly, eggs have now changed colour depending on what distance they are.
This is still a thing?
My wife, who was super hooked on the game for a really long time despite never liking Pokémon at all, said it's kind of lost its purpose now and that she'll come back when they introduce more Pokémon.

The Halloween event is making the game more interesting for me. It certainly makes the Buddy system a much more enjoyable aspect of the game and certainly gives the ability for you to actually have it as a use. I was bagging another one every 2 steps it was great, especially with 2x candy on them. I was disappointed that there was no rare insectoids such as Pinsir or Scyther near by there. Unfortunately, I forgot to put my battery extender on charge last night so didn't have that on me and after about 20km the battery of my phone was down to just 15% and so I lost the last 10km hike.
The game is losing it's appeal to me, though I do enjoy pretty grindy games by nature and therefore it has got me kinda hooked in to it.
If I was Niantic, I would seriously consider keeping the distances for the buddy system as it is for this event permanently. Getting 4 candy every 3km on a starter seems fair. As does getting 12 Magikarp Candy in the same space of distance.
One day, we're gonna look back at this game in business schools, economics classes, marketing courses, and basic game design.
It's going to be the story of how a company took a sure thing and ruined it.

They've also stopped people from getting Pokemon and PokeStops if they're travelling over 25mph. Passenger in a car or on public transport? smurf you. Well, now I'm no longer able to get the TWO exciting Pokestops I used to be able to get. It seems to me the only way to play this game is to live near a big city.
On that note, I went to Birmingham this weekend and good lord compared to my usual suburban Pidgey-Rattata-Weedle bollocks it was insane. I caught a Machop and a Mankey you guys! I saw an actual real life Sandshrew and Diglett! (after only having ever hatched them) I even saw a Growlithe outline!
Oh, and for some reason I now keep being absolutely bombarded with Mr Mimes. I think it's the Europe only Pokemon so as and when trading comes in, if anyone wants one let me know and I'll hook you up. I've got a whole troupe of the creepy smurfers now.
