Who is your favourite Gen III Pokemon starter?
MUDKIP 4 ME
Defo Torchic
Treecko, I thought it looked cool.
I used to think it was Torchic because I almost always pick fire, but years later I've decided that was a mistake. I <3 Mudkip.
I like Torchic mostly because it evolves into Blaziken.
treeko cos Grovyle
Mudkip because I liek old memes
i liek mudkipz
I'm not going to lie, I feel Gen III has my least favorite starter designs. With that said, I chose Torchic and I have not regretted that decision since. I don't know how he stacks up against the other starters but I love his diverse moveset compared to the last two starters and as usual, good water and grass mons are pretty easy to come by in the early-to-mid section of the game whereas Fire remains pretty uncommon.
What? You like Gen V's starters Wolf?
Oshawatt is a crime against nature (until it's final form at least) but I actually like Tepig's design and forms and I really love Snivy and his forms. Course this is just based on their designs, I haven't reached Gen V yet in my playthrough so I don't even know how good they are.
Gen V starters rule :stare:
Torchic, but I also have a soft spot for Mudkip.
Same here, with me. The first forms all look cute enough, though only Torchic really shines in that department for me. Mudkip's pretty cute as well.
Then they evolve and everything goes wrong. Blaziken started the whole Fire/Fighting trend which I grew tired of, and I'm just not a fan of the design. The entire line went from lovable chick to weird bipedal... sort of chicken? And the official art for it gives it really angular legs which looks unnatural.
Treecko starts off well enough, but then Sceptile doesn't grab me at all. I'm not really sure what it is meant to be.
Finally, Mudkip is cute but its evolutions get progressively more stupid looking. Swampert's face just looks silly and goofy, but not in a good way.
Definitely the Mudkip line for me -- I love the water/ground combo and how bulky it is, and Mudkip itself is super cute. :)
