Project X Zone/Parasite Eve/Guilty Gear X2/NeoGeo Battle Coliseum/Deus Ex/Flow/Soul Calibur IV/Valkyria Chronicles - Haven't a clue, as I've never played them!
Phoenix Wright: Justice For All - I know you found the first one hard going, so I'm not going to recommend the second game for you. At least, it isn't first on my recommends list. I like the series, but I know you don't, and there's better candidates out there with that in mind.
Crash Bandicoot - I mean, it is a classic series. To be honest, it might even be worth holding off until the remastering of the trilogy comes out later this year. If you have a PS4, I'd say wait for that. If you don't, Crash 1 is a solid starting point. It shows its age, but I feel like you should play Crash 1 before 2 and 3.
Kingdom Hearts - Honestly, Deep Jungle is both the best and worst world. The first half is fairly slow, and there's not even any enemies until the second half when the story starts picking up pace, so I can understand how the playthrough got stopped at that point. Having said that, Kingdom Hearts is a great game that I'd recommend.
So really, it is between Crash or Kingdom. Either is good. I'd say Crash is the shorter game, and can be played in bite-sized chunks. Kingdom Hearts is the more involved game.
Xenogears? The greatest game of all time. The GOAT.

Soul Calibur IV is a very interesting option. If you want and the servers are this open I would like to battle you.
Other than that, there is a key to everything. And a heart.

Having said that, it's probably the weakest entry in the AA series to me.

Deus Ex Human Revolution is the only game on the list that I've played and it's good. Not quite as good as the first in the series, but still solid. So that one gets my vote.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of the few reboots that actually felt like it was equitable in quality and style of the game that preceded it. It's got a thought-provoking premise, gameplay that rewards planning and patience, and great atmosphere.
