What is something you like made with pears?

I really love pears, but I've never actually MADE anything with them -- I just eat them. I've got some free time coming up and feel like experimenting a bit, so offer me some recommendations! What are some dishes that include pears you enjoy?

I'm not a huge fan of pears. I think they're quite bland.

I did not know those were a thing that existed. :o They kind of look like Sour Gummy Worms. . . but pears.

Unripe pears tend to be super bland, and annoyingly look almost the same as ripe pears, but I find them quite tasty once they ripen up. :)

...you know, I've been sitting here trying to think of something and I can't. I guess I just don't eat pears all that much? I dunno. Can you make them into a pie or something?

Yeah, I saw some pies recipes, but I can't imagine how that would taste, so I was hoping to see something like 'pear pies are delicious' before I gave it a try. :p

My mom used to make pear jam. I'm not a fan of pears, so I didn't like it. But my siblings liked it so maybe give pear jam a try?

You know, as I was typing Pear Jam into Google I was half expecting it to autocorrect my search to 'Pearl Jam'. Fortunately this was not the case and the recipe I found looks super simple -- I shall give it and the pie a try. Thanks for the suggestions. :)

I always add them to yogurt for breakfast. I like them a lot, actually!

There's also this dessert called Elena something or other - it's basically pears, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. So good.

I love pears but I cant think of anything they go well in. They don't even blend nicely into a smoothie. I've had pear cider and that was pretty good.

My two suggestions are poached pears with melted chocolate and pear tart.

Almost anything you can make with apples can be made with pears. The best I've tried out of these is certainly pear strudel.

Pear cider (perry to those who care about correct labelling) is decent, I guess.

Pear Cider is always nice. It is my safe option if I'm not sure what to drink.
