Banned members.

Can you make the word "Banned" in their title area a different color? Every once in a while I see a person with "Banned" but it looks like just a regular custom title. Confusing, yes. Maybe put "Banned" in red?

I agree...but red? That will only make people WANT to be banned just to get a red custom title cause red is a good color and popular. I say give them a embarissing color like pink or something. Then it'll really be punishment.

You do realize that any hack you request that involves modificatoin of vBulletin source files also necessitates the board being down for an unpredictable amount of time?

My FTP is *hosed*. Any file over 8K has the potential to fail, and then I have to disconnect, reconnect, and retry God knows how many times before the upload is succesful. However, even if it fails, it deletes the existing file on the server, leaving an incomplete file fragment until the upload is sucessful, which means the boards will be down.

The larger the file, the greater the potential for a failure. The file which needs to be amended in order to add another colored custom rank is almost 100k.

Now, I ask again: Is this really that important?

EDIT: I figured out a way to do it just using the admin control panel. The above is still valid for future reference, though. At least until I figure out what the :skull::skull::skull::skull::skull: is wrong with my FTP.

Maybe the bold-tags could be removed from the "Banned"? That would make a distinction.

My guess is on you'll need to update ranks before the banned ranks start showing up pink, unless you manually go down every banned member's profile and edit the rank to say "Do not use custom title."

Along similar lines, please uncensor the word "banned" from our custom titles - I really wanted to use that as a rank at one point in the past, just to confuse people. =P
