The One, Two, Three Materia Challenge

If you could only equip three materia on a character, and all three slots are linked together(like this 0=0=0 ), which three materia linked together would create the most kick-ass character?

Master Magic + W-Magic + Quadra Magic.
'Nuff said.:)

I don't like the magic one, caus most atk magic is horrible late in the game.

Quadra Magic isn't useful with high end summon spells like KOR unless you use HP <-> MP materia so I'll go with: Master Summon = W-Summon = MP Absorb

Double Cut+Added Effect+Destruct

Four chances at instant death!

Slash-All=Added Effect=Contain

That's Slash-All, NOT Flash! Flash is a worthless ability!

I find that Added-Effect=Contain usually yields more kills than AE=Destruct, simply because a Mastered Contain can cause Confusion, Stop, and Petrify, while Destruct causes only DeBarrier and Death, which most things are immune to.

The neat part about this is that you only need 2 linked slots. So i do it all the time.

Double-cut+added cut+death blow.

this works really good if you have 4x cut.

Slash, slash, slash, slash, slash, d-blow :D

Enemy Skill = Master Summon = Mime(or W-Summon)

Enemy Skills are freakin' awesome.

I know you don't get zombie materia on ff7 but a kool one wud be

zombie=final attack=life2

Knights of Round+Quadra Magic+Mime. Killer combo, like
Cure 3+Counter Magic+Quadra Magic.

double cut=master summon=hp absorb

Master Magic = Master Summon = MP Absorb

You can cast all the magics, all the summons, and you never run out of MP.

Perhaps a better question is, if you could have THREE players, each with the 3-linked slots, what would you put in each?

I'm guessing a strong attacker, a strong magician (possibly to include white magic) and... a back-up plan - somebody with the Final-attack + Phoenix combination, though I'm not sure what to put with it...

Why not a Knights of the Round just to add that extra punch when you come back?

Hehe... I wonder if that would have worked, casting two summons with a Final Attack.

The only problem with that idea is that some of the Weapons (easily the hardest battles) counterattack Knights of the Round with very strong attacks... But apart from that it sounds good :)

Having said that, for Emerald Weapon, perhaps sling an underwater materia in there if you want to take your time... :D

You might be safe with a Knights of the Round counter-attack. I know that in most FF games, you can't counter-attack a counter-attack, so I don't know if the weapons would be able to counter-attack your counter-attack.

for the normal battles:
pre-emptive=slash(powered up to flash)=added cut.

Anything you dont instantly kill before the battle even begins, you will attack and if your strength is high, youll probably kill.This in turn would cause you to barely ever even have to do anything in a battle.


for hard battles:
final attack=KOTR=phoenix.

Simple.
