Depending on who I talk to, I pronounce it "zih-DAYNE" or "jih-DAN."
But actually, I usually just call him Ziddy-kins. It's much easier!!! Mwahaha!! ^_^

Zi-dan. As in, Zinedine Zidane. Maybe Square intended it to be pronounced differently, but that's how I say it.

zi-DAYNE is how i pronounce it. Also I say STEIN-er but i know some people say it differently, as well as FREE-ah and EEK-oh.
Believe it or not, in Japanese, her name is "fry-ah." And Zidane's name is "jih-dan."
Zi-dayne is how I say it.
Like the french footballer of the same name. Still- I did call him "Zi-dane" to begin with.
