Aww, same shot that's been around for a long time. At least it showed some close ups of it or whatever.
Yeah but the whole point of it is to pump you up for the new coming...and hopefully some REAL screen shots.
That lizard in the corner look like the lizard people from FFTA (forgot their names, but they don't like being called lizards, so yeah lizard people).
Darn it... Any information on this game would be great even fake information.
What a great b-day present for me!
November 19th, surely?
But yeah, if this is the real thing, I can't wait. The look of the game's certainly cool, as long as the PS2 can get the atmosphere right. The character art looks FFVIII-ish, with realistic forms being chosen over the exaggerated features of FFIX.

It couldn't look more like FFVIII if it tried.
You do realize that the picture you posted is a fake....right?
Nope. That's news to me.

G'dammit. Can someone read Japanese? I wanna know what all those things are sayin' so I can make a half-decent report for our news page. It'd probably work out nicely for anyone interested.
I started lessons about 4 weeks ago... so no.
I wonder why they reused the Prelude from FFVII?
EDIT: Actually I believe the date is November 19th, November is not the 19th month. Not even in Japan ;)

fyi squeenix has used Prelude in a lot more than just FF7
Yeah but they always add something more. Like more echo or a few different instruments. They all sound slightly different. This one seems to have the more echo-ish feel that FFVII had which is why a lot think it is from that game specifically.Quote:

Actually I was referring to the arrangement. The one in FFVII had not only the famous harp sequence (which is basically all the Prelude was in FFI), but also a melody line, similar to the one in the FFIV Piano Collections version, played by the woodwinds and strings. Go to squaresound.com and listen to a few midis, and you'll see what I mean.

I hope that that is real, but I get the feeling it's some kind of joke..
Looks suspiciously fake for some reason. It's just zooming into the same old poster?
At any rate I don't know which is going to come first - FF12 or Duke Nukem Forever.
Yaah That Lizard thing is Definatly from FFTA so either its fake or there re-using that race.
Guess well find out Nov 19
Theory: The team that made FFTA is making FFXII.
Just a wild guess. Maybe it came to me in a dream.
Note: I actually read that somewhere. I have no idea where, so it could have been a dream.
I think that Square thought that they did SUCH a good job on FFTA (And FFT, if they are the same team.), that they would give them a shot at the main series.
That better have been real, because it made me cry!
Well, it's on the Japanese Square-Enix page that the information will be starting on November 19th. But since it will all be in japanese, most of us will have to wait close to a year before the information gets to North America...
I am pretty sure we will have the news by the 20th at the latest. Also the game should be out sometime in september next year...in America :whoa:Quote:

Too bad it got pushed back to to mid 2004 in japan.
Ah well looks like you'll just have to wait longer.
Mid 2004 could be May in which I believe it is around the time they pushed the game back till. I took into consideration the push back when I said september. I'm on top of the game ;)
Yup, FF12 is being made the FFTA people and will have some connection to it.. or at least that's what RPGFan and a couple other sites have said, a while ago RPGFan had a list of all Square's teams and the FF12 team had worked on TA in the past.
