"the reaper is always just a step behind me" - Shadow
That's FFVI.
Despite being an incredibly fun game, I don't think FFIII had too much memorable dialogue at all.
W...wait! I'm a GENERAL, not some opera floozy! -Celes
I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate HATE YOU!! Grrr...-Kefka
this is the best thread ever.
princess sara propositioning the light warriors is pretty sweet, and I like how the game tricks you with WOW I ALREADY HAVE THE CANOE and then O WAIT ITS STUCK IN THAT RIVER and then LOOK ITS AN AIRSHIP HERE I COME WORLD followed by SORRY BABY I HAD TO WRECK YOUR HONDA
those aren't game quotes though.
"You people are all stupid and can't read!" - The cloud thingie
I don't know if he actually said that. But if he was here, he WOULD.
"hello, im a dancer"
grrrrrr :mad2: frikken dancer
Ummm...
"I am Princess Sara." What a classic line.
Oh, let's not forget the first mentioning of that famous phrase:
"Lali-ho!"
It's been too long since I played FF3j, so I can't remember much of the good lines although there are some. I got a few pics from the ending. Although the game doesn't focus on the story so heavily, I'd still like to warn you that these pics CONTAIN SPOILERS! So if you haven't finished the game and don't want to be spoiled, you may not want to see these pictures.
I don't know if this was just in my ROM, but this exchange between the Onion Kids in the cave at the start has always been a favourite of mine:
"What was that?"
"Let's get out of here!"
"Oh!"
"Whatever"
That's roughly it.
I thought it started more like "BANG! THUD!" "oof!" "where the heck are we?"
"Lali-ho!" first came up in FFI, not FFIII.
Yes, but wasn't something else introduced in FF3? Something.... Mooglish?
Lali-ho in FF1? You mean in the japanese version, right? 'Cause in the translated version, they say "hooray!"
That's a mistranslation. It's "Rally-Ho" in FF1 Origins, but since L and R are the same in Japanese, it could as well be "Lally-Ho", which can be pronounced like "Lali-Ho".Quote:

Moogles first appeared in FF3j, but they didn't say "Kupo" yet. :mog: Too bad.
Wasn't the beavers in FF2 is moogle-prototypes? They look darn alike.
Yeah, but I wouldn't count them as Moogles. They're said to be beavers anyway. Beaver is a species that exists in our world, but the Moogles are fantasy beings that exist only in various FF worlds.
The beginning dialouge was the best...
Oh yeah in the beginning at Kazus when everyone were ghosts, that guy who freaks out and thinks you are ghosts too was funny(with its dialogue too)
Lali-Ho is a new phrase in pop culture. Plus, with as hard as this game pushed NES hardware, they don't hav time for good dialogue. I swear, this game is something you guys have to appreciate for an NES system.
Heres a nice one
"Let's sleep in the princess' bed!"
When you try to rest in Princess Sara's bed. It just doesn't feel right...
Lol yeah, that one was kinda strange..Quote:

Shes just not familar with the whole Missing English games thing that square did to us.
so...
Not sure of the exact quote but i always liked Kefkas Laugh.
Too late now. This is a FFIII thread.
What about that lady that throws shoes? Doesn't she say anything memorable?
"take this, you bastards!"
Ahh, If I threw shoes, that's what I'd say.
I should really play this game :{
