What I think Dixie meant to say is, Have you ever had someone clsoe to you move away? How did you deal with it?
Calling that the worst news ever is just taunting fate, you know.
A friend of mine has moved away a couple times, but she kept moving back. I haven't had anybody really close to me move farther away than the next town.
A couple of people I have known moved away from the neighborhood years ago. It was really hard to deal with.
Yeah, it sucks when people leave.
Especially when they leave for, say, SCOTLAND, or WASHINGTON.
*glare*
But think of it this way, after 5 or more years you'll gradually begin to forget about the people who moved away.
Oh yeah, did I forget to say that she's moving because she wants to get closer to her boyfriend? They're probably going to get married soon because she said that she's going to have her wedding near here. :)
A friend of mine left after one year of school (with me and him being friends, I mean). I met him years later, but lost his contact info. Oh well.

All my friends have either left me for other people or have moved to another country.

Most of the people close to me die, So i'm usually the one moving away from my closest friends

I've been lucky enough to not have my absolute best friends move away. How 'bout I count?
I count 3 friends to have moved away, and I still talk to one of them online. Just as long as my very best friends don't go anywhere.
Ouch. That hits home. REALLY CLOSE. Bring a tear to my eye really. Yesterday, my best friend said he was moving away down south. Like 1000 miles south. I've had friends move, but across town. Nothing ever like this. I dunno what to do, but it hurts :(
My best friend moved halfway across the country from me. That was sad.
