I have the greatest hits one, but it's the same thing, but with a different box cover (with the "Greatest Hits" sticker).
I've got the original.
I have the orrigonal as well
Oh by real game i meant the CD for ps1-2...if you have it burnt or an ISO dont say yes lol
Yeah, I got the actual CD. Paid $14 for it too :D. I was also able to talk two of my friends to buy it :).
lol me to i got 4 friends to buy it because they saw me play it
Yep, bought it from the old forgotten PS1 game section at the local Target.
Well what kind of a question is that?
Those who don't have the original should be ashamed of themselves
(heh heh)
My brother bought it just when it came out, I got into it soon after it.
A lot of years have passed, the game doesn't work anymore, I miss playing it.
I have the greatest hits one. Well not HAVE. Just borrowed. Forever. But my friend doesn't care.
Wait. You can BURN it?
not legaly
I had the origonal but it got stolen with my saga frontier and bushido blade :( now I have greatest hits. but still no bushido blade :(
I bought the orginal new many many moons ago.
I traded mine for some crappy boxing game to my dad. He was like wtf this game sucks gimme the boxing one for it.
Mine could not be read anymore
But at least I got the rights to say, "yes" :P
I got the original because a friend rented it and never took it back and then I got to playing it and well...the rest is history! I played it so much that it just got to wear and tear on it and started skipping!
So I went out and got the greatest hits Tactics.
2 of the best choices of my life! :)
I have my original which can't be read anymore, and the greatest hits one. I cant stand to get rid of any of my games, even if they dont work anymore.
D_K
I've had my copy since 1998.
...Damn. I paid one more dollar for my game than you did for yours. :lol:Quote:

I just found the original the other day for 9.99 with complete package and no scratches. :) and original FF7/8/9
I bought the original........tried to play it and had my tail kicked up and down those 3D maps.
It then sat on my shelf till 2003 when I finally pulled it out and figured out how to play.
I bought the greatest hits version today
I have the greatest hits version!
ooh! ooh! i do! i do!...$15 from local used game store :D
8-9 years old, Third Grade is when i got my original copy. Over all it is my favorite game of all time, i was the first to beat it before anyone i know (when i was 8 or 9) Its upsetting to know that it doesnt work anymore  i guess i'll pick up a copy some time this year, i really feel like playing :greenie:
When I get Ehrgeiz and Bushido Blade 1 I'll have the entire Square PSX / PS2 collection.
OOC: If anyone cares on FF8 greatest hits and the original the disks are diffrent (on the outside)
the OG FF8 disc are in white while the greatest hits is colored black. I bought the original one from game stop after I borrowed it from a friend. After playing through the second part of the game I fell in love with the battle system.
i have the original, and it's one of my favs.
I have the ISO. Thank you very much Squenix who can't be bothered releasing PAL versions of certain games.
I have the original... It has a story... One day I was walking to a friends house in the could snowy streets on my hometown, Ingalls, when I was "bothered" by a dog... Humped is probably the most proper word... Anyways, I dropped the game and the dog ran off with it... I was devasted and I was about to go to Target to buy a new one when A friend comes by with the ruined case. But the game was still intact! So I cleaned it and popped it in... IT WORKED! Yay! More fun for Kyle!
I've got the original. I recently ripped it to ISO so I always have the game on hand that I can play on my emulator. I prefer emulation, even though I own the game.
yes, you can easily "burn" a ps 1 disc. the hard part is "playing" the burn :p . you need a mod chip or a ps 1 emulator (to play it on computer), but my god! FFT is not worth pirateing. wait, is it worth buying? i mean with games like FFVII and FFX, who cares about FFT any more!Quote:

The biggest difference to me is the disc. The original disc is white and the GH is silver, right?
Feion
i got the GH version of all the PS Final Fantasy games i own :elk: , except Origins ;) . VIII's GH cds are horrible  . it doesn't matter whether it has "Greatest Hits" on it or not :p , just as long as i don't see a scratch on them :shifty: .
I have the orginonal from a local rental store. I "rented" it for the longest time then when I finally returned it my late fee was more than what I bought the game for.
Then a few years later after the other wore out I bought the Greatest Hits so I own two copies.
Like everyone who appreciates this masterpiece, I have the real game.
Hahahaha :D That's how I got my Tactics (the original)... nice to know I'm not the only one to never return a copy of FFT to the video store! ;)Quote:
