In Kingdom Hearts, there were characters from FFVII, FFVIII, and even FFX, yet none from FFIX. Although I was not very fond of the game, I would've enjoyed it if Vivi or Dagger were in the game.
Who felt the same way?

I did. I wanted to fight Steiner in battle.
EDIT: And I'm surprised they didn't have Vivi, considering his psycho popularity amongst FF-ers.
Vivi was used in the staff design if you look close enough. I would have liked to have him in my party to do a little flaring of sorts upon riku in hollow bastion.... mehehehe
I believe that a different person designed the characters in IX than in the other games (VII, VIII, X, KH), that's why his aren't in there. I cannot remember where I got this from.
Well, Del, all you have to do is look on the packages for the games. I believe Tetsuya Nomura designed VII, VIII, and X's characters, while Shukou Murase designed IX's. I could be wrong about the second guy, though.
Kuja would've been nice.
I agree:D But i think Del is right. I have sense chucked my IX for it no longer worked, but I believe i read that somone else designed IX.Quote:

It was Amano, I believe. Maybe Murase made the SD versions the game actually used, but the characters were based on Amano's art.Quote:

I think It would be sweet to see little Black mages from FF led by Vivi in an FF world called Black Mage Village
Also the White mages would live there
Oh, oh and Amarant would be a boss in the colissium
OHH and Steiner would be a servant to King Mickey
OOOHHH and Eiko and Dagger would give you more summon gems
OOOOH -suffers appedicitus- and Freya would rule her little world of Cleyra
Oooh ooh Cleyra and Land of eternal rain (can't remember, don't really care)
AND FINALLY KUJA, NECRON AND GARLAND RIDING SILVER DRAGON as
1 sideboss (It would be a little tough)
How about Kefka and Cecil and Golbez and Locke and Kain and all of them? I would have liked to see them transfered to 3D glory.
Yeah, it's because Yoshitaka Amano designed the characters for FFI-VI and IX, while FFVII, VIII and X were designed by Tetsuya Nomura. Tetsuya Nomura was also the character designer for KH. Because of this, Amano's characters will probably unfortunately never be used in a KH game. This saddens me greatly because I think it'd be awesome to have some of the other FF characters in the games, like maybe having Cyan or Yang on your team along with Beast or Mulan or someone equally cool.
I could give a..um...a something obscene about the main characters of ff IX, but yeah, i'd give my left nut for VIVI, Amarant and Freya to be up in there. HOORAH POINTY HATS AND MOODY PEOPLE!

Steiner and Vivi would have been perfect replacements for donald and goofy. A knight that fights with a shield.
 Steiner and Vivi ARE perfect replacements I never noticed that!!!Quote:

I don't believe the whole different-character-designer excuse is a valid one. Lemme put it plain and simple:
Look at Donald's wands. The Mage's Staff, Magus Staff, and Wisdom Staff all have classic Black Mage hats on them. If they really couldn't use any of Amano's creations in this game, they wouldn't be able to use those Black Mage hats- or Moogles and Chocobos. So I just think they didn't think FFIX didn't fit the whole KH feel as much as the others did.
I dunno- but it just doesn't makes sense why they'd put Black Mage hats on Donald's wands if they couldn't use Amano's character designs for Vivi...
Using pointy hats on wands is completely different than using characters of a completely different style. If they were to put the FFIX characters in they'd have to change the designs to fit. The style Amano used is so different that it wouldn't work and they'd forsake the style of FFIX.
I dunno. I don't think that stylistic difference thing would hold up either. Squall and Cloud got significantly redesigned for the game, so if you just change around Zidane's clothes a little, he'd fit right in. Also, Nomura has ALWAYS used Chocobo (which weren't actually in KH) in FF designs, and Moogles did get into FFVII.
You're all wondering why FFIX characters weren't in KH, but I'm still stuck on why they decided to fuse Cloud and Vincent (in terms of clothing). It just doesn't make any sense. The only reason I can think of is that they just felt like it.
I'd also like to know why they decided not to have Bahamut as a summon. That would've been frickin' sweet! (if you use a cheat device, you can unlock the option, but it'll freeze the game when chosen)
Well, it does give Cloud a cool wanderer/refugee look, as if he's been traveling for a good while, fighting to survive. But what was with the arm thing? That was a little funky...Quote:

I think it'd be kinda' nice if Zack made a appearance in KHII also, but he probably won't.
Vivi could fit in nicely, Steiner could kinda fit in.. but thats because Vivi and Steiner aren't Bobble heads :hyper: :excited:
It's not an issue of being unable of using the characters.
Let's review.
Amano designed the characters from FFI-VI and IX.
Nomura designed the characters from VII, VIII, and X.
Now, the important part.
KH is Nomura's game. It's his concept, he designed the characters, he drew the storyboards, he directed the game. KH is his baby. THAT is why he only used his own FF characters in it.
And yeah, he went with different graphical styles for certain characters just for the hell of it.
yeah it wud be kool to have kuja in there...
