Well mah friend Horatio, i went over his house one day and we played ff7 and he always told me (at school, how aeris when she died he could still use her after that) well..... i saw it and WOW it was soooo cool!! :D
she like lived, it was awesome! OOO i got to use her and every thing! but then when we got to the end of when u battle sephy, the game crashed cuz there was too many players.. so yeah...
has anyone else ever had such a crazy glitch like that?

most definitly a cheat hack, like having sephiroth in your party.
Like Aeris said, it's a cheat. Using a Gameshark you can still use her. And if you're implying it isnt a cheat, then I don't believe a word of it.
This is how rumors get started. Evil rumors. Rumors that serve only to annoy for months and months. YOU CANNOT REVIVE AERIS WITHOUT USING A GAMESHARK! This has been WELL documented ever since FFVII was released in the US.

This is rediculous. It's just a cheat created through hacking, and if you would like to state otherwise, you're no better than any other rumour monger. There's a big difference between a glitch and a cheat. There's no way there'd be such a huge glitch.

Chill, everyone. He said he thought it was a glitch, not something happening in the story.
I've never encountered that kind of error before, but I guess it's possible. A Gameshark lets you do it, after all, and using a Gameshark will even cause the game to crash at some points, just like FFFFsephychibi described.
Please, don't be so critical of someone who's posting something innocuous like this. Rumour-mongering is when people say things like, "hey, I just got the silver chocobo and beat Cheese Weapon, then Bugenhagen came to Cloud in a dream and gave him the Omega Amulet to revive Aeris in the church! IT R LIEK TURE! I HAEV SEN IT AL!!!111!!"
Now that is a rumour.

Actually, what FFFFsephychibi said is true, as I've tried it myself. If you use GameShark to bring Aeris to your party when she shouldn't be there, the game will work well otherwise, but there will be some glitches. Here are some I've noticed or heard about:
- If Aeris is in your party during the FMV when Sephiroth kills her, the game will crash right after the FMV.
- If you have Aeris in your party when Cloud goes totally nuts in the Northern Crater (Disc 2), the game will crash.
- If you fight Diamond Weapon with Aeris in your party, the game will crash after the battle.
- It's cool to take Aeris to your group in the final battle against Sephiroth and have her defeat Seph with something like Knights of the Round. But IIRC, the game crashes after beating Safer Sephiroth. Oh well, at least you can still get Aeris on that battle. I also have a picture of that battle with Aeris in your group. It's from the PC version, and I'm about to have her cast Great Gospel there.
Now for what good things you get for reviving Aeris:
- You can use her in battles (doh).
- After the snowboard quest, Aeris appears on the screen and says that you should check the map.
- When you go to Fort Condor to fight for the Huge Materia, she appears on the screen during dialogues, and she has loads of lines there that even fit her personality, such as "Let's get some sleep", "I think we should help them" and "What's this? I'm sure I've seen it somewhere before" (when getting the Huge Materia).
- It's hilarious to put Aeris in your party when returning to the waterfall in the City of the Ancients. She'll appear on the screen and watch at her own death. Too bad she doesn't say anything.
However, I must emphasis that Aeris can't be brought back without a GameShark or some other hacking tool.

Everyone knows the Gameshark thing, that's why we all mentioned it. But there's no normal, non-Gameshark way to get her to live, glitch or not.
My pic was from the PC version, and there is no Gameshark for PC, only for the games on PS systems. :p I think I used something like Best Trainer Collection for FF7 PC, which has a cheat that allows you to have every playable character in your party at any time in the game.Quote:

Actually, on Japanese beta discs for the game, or so I've been told, it is possible to revive Aeris. On the gold discs or something. Never seen it, so don't know if it's true, but it's limited to the few beta discs there are.

Yeah, and since the maximum level you can get to is 99, I don't see that happening anytime soon, and getting to 99 doesn't work, I've done it (I cheated to do so, but the game can't tell the difference).
i think all you who think aeris can b revived are all a bunch of . . . cool people it'd b cool if u can revive her with out cheats or a dodgy disc, some dipsh!t said that if u got a ff x disc and snapped it and stuck it to a ff vii disc u could play as seph in ff x. . . wot a retard.

some other geezer said that if u get to the point on ff7 where seph is on ur team and put it on ur ff9 save you get seph in ff9, who wud honestly believe this tripe!!

It's not out in Japan yet. They arent even done making it yet.
And, as has already been said 60 billion times but apparantly still needs to be repeated; in no version, in no way, in no bizzare crapola rumor, can you get Aerith back. She's DEAD. Gameshark/cheat devices are the only way.
sortof defeating the purpose of having a story line in the first place keeping Aeris right?
i guess its a warning to all that making a topic about aeris surviving is a touchy subject...put simply dont mess with Aeris or get panned by people here!!
Well I revived Aires, it was really simple, firstly you have to get Knights of the Round, then a Gold Chocobo, then you have to beat all the weapons, complete the game and then restart :D
lol it is impossible. however i heard they had planned to allow it 2 be possible involving those 1/35 inch soldiers, tissures and masumune replica but scraped the idea.
This is turning into a pointless rumor thread, especially sonsidering this game came out many years ago. There is no way to revive her. Please use common sense.
