Anyway, it never says who Gogo is. It's all speculation.
Save for the fact that he's Adlai Stevenson.
Yup yup, he's Adlai Stevenson:Quote:

Although I like theroys like this it's been proved he's not Daryl because HE CAN'T USE GIRL ONLY ITEMS!!! there for he is male.
that's not good logic, but it does support the fact that gogo may not be female.
True. Because Gogo is a mimic, it could be Daryl mimicing a guy, thus she can't use girl only items.

Adlai Stevenson? This is right up there with R=U and "Paul Is Dead". :)
does it matter? Gogo sucks big time. hes a pale shadow of his ffV counterpart...
Dude, Gogo = Adlai. *thought this was common knowledge by now*
Perhaps... it's a hermaphrodite?Quote:

Gestahl?
I mean, look at Gogo's outfit, it looks like a torn up imerial officer's suit.
But... he was killed by Kefka. He even "dissapeared" after that. o_OQuote:

But as far as I am concerned, Gogo is Adlai. I'm too lazy to sniff out the thread =/ Maybe it's gone, but please sticky if it isn't :p

Gogo is... (in fact, its proved! I found alot of hints! It depends on gameclock wheter you find em or not!) Crono!!
Crono was gettin bored from his voyages through time & space, so he started to beam himself into the FFVI Story!!
He started to imitate people because they all look, walk and talk like some weird-os! After he stopped laughing, he recognized that he was able to imitate them in a perfect way... he felt like he was able to be the worlds greatest hero again and joined forces with terra & co!
thats it
PS: don't call me a stupid dumb ass :-) thanx
Stupid dumbass. :DQuote:

Without a doubt. It's Adlai.
Gogo, the real story.
The world was unbalanced by the movement of the statues. Spirits of the dead were aroused to watch the final destruction of their planet. But, they united, the life stream formed to hold together the crumbling world. Time was short and if the heroes did not act swiftly, all would be lost. The life stream took physical form.
The body was chosen, the body of Adlai Stevenson, a great man and politician. But the form of this 'Gogo' was not whole. It had to sit idle in a cavern until it could feel the hope of the heroes. When they came, the dead chose who would accompany Adlai Stevenson on his journey.
The late King Figaro gave Gogo the ability to use tools.
Duncan gave Gogo the blitz techniques of Monks.
Madonna gave Gogo the Morph abilities.
Rachel gave Gogo the ability to hunt for treasure.
Cyan's Son provided the knowledge of Sword Techniques.
The spirit of every Moogle gave the dance steps to Gogo.
Cid modified Gogo to use Runic techniques.
The spirit of all innocent animals provided Gogo with a rage to save the wilderness.
The fallen school of Blue Mages taught Gogo the lore of monsters.
Daryll taught Gogo the dangers and benefits of luck.
The brother of Shadow took up the form and added Throw to the arsenal.
The dead of Thamasa gave Gogo their memories of Relm's paintings.
General Leo gave Gogo the skills of combat.
And finally, the espers destroyed by Magitek blessed Gogo with the powers of magic.
That's the most eloquent Adlai Stevenson explaination I've ever read. :thumb:
I demand that this thread be archived so that this beautiful passage be preserved for all to read. :smash:
Well we can also speculate that he is the Ziegfried wannabe. You know, when he tells you that someone claims to be him. Probably is.
Back to the topic on hand... definately Adlai Stevenson
I think we know now
You, sir, are a God among men.Quote:

The Square official guys said something !, they didn´t say that Gogo was daryl, but they say there was an scene that can be only seen when Gogo and Setzer are in your party, EVERYBODY go and find that scene !
( I Didn´t sent the letter, another person).
Your comments and questions on the character, Gogo, from Final Fantasy VI were quite unique. I have never heard of such a thing before and in fact went and asked one of our game testers/developers who has been with the company for 7 years. His first job with the company was to look over the English translation of Final Fantasy VI(III in the states). He told me this, "The answer to his question is in the game. The only hint I will give, is that in the game there is a cutscene which can only be viewed with Setzer and Gogo in your group". I hope this helps you in your search for answers. Thank you for your questions and comments, Squaresoft Inc. is grateful for fans like you.

What about this ?
any ideas where and when in the game can that scene be activated?
that was the only clue they gave us , I can´t believe that nobody have ever write something about this scene between Setzer and Gogo... probably Daryl crash her ship near of that island where you find gogo, probably , I´m gonna begin to play it again just to see what I can found.
Once I heard the scene could be seen on the cliff where Celes jumps into the water, because it resembles the cliff where Daryl crashes. Thoug nothing happened when I went there with Setzer and Gogo.
Maybe Gogo's real name is Gogo.
I don't think Square would make a character who is noone (besides of Adlai ;) ). He could be Gogo, but he has to have a background story. But he can't be Daryl because "Daryl rests here" is writen on the grave in the tomb.
It says 'Daryl rests here', but Setzer clearly states that her body was never found, only the wreckage of the Falcon.
Gogo can't be Daryl, because Daryl is very dead. How would she survive a drop that completely trashed her airship? Her body probably wasn't recovered because it was splattered over the entire island. Even if she survived, why would she change her name and wrap herself up like a Saudi woman, instead of trying to fix her ship and get back to Setzer? Why wouldn't she recognise him?
Gogo isn't Gestahl either. We saw Kefka make Gestahl very very dead.
Gogo is a character from FFV. Square put him in this game because they liked him, or because they couldn't think of another character.
There is no scene with Setzer and Gogo. It's just another stupid rumour like the Paladin Ring, Shadow's seventh dream and the fabled Leo-revival-item.
She could have survived a drop that trashed the Falcon.
I mean, all the characters on the first airship survived when it went down on the Second Continent.
Plus the Falcon was re-buildable, so it wasn't totally shredded.
Why wouldn't she try to get back? Who knows.
Maybe she got amnesia from a shot to the head during the crash.
Or maybe she went off in search of scattered parts for the Falcon, and Setzer found the wreckage and snatched it all up while she was gone, assuming she was dead somewhere.
Or maybe the ZoneEater found her and sucked her up (explaining how she got in the cave in the first place). No Daryl, scattered Airship parts everywhere...doesn't take much to assume "airship crashed and she's dead".
I don't think anyone will ever get definitive proof (Unless Square cracks and gives out a decent explanation, or somebody cracks the SNES game and finds something in the code that wasn't active in the game)
i think they just put gogo in the game to screw with our heads
but definately Adlai

Relm only came to Thamasa because she is (SPOILER)Shadow's daughter.
Lore does not come from Blue Mages, same idea, wrong game. Lore comes from the Mage Knights.
Cid had nothing to do with Celes being able to use magic.
Madonna died when Terra was still a baby, therefore never could have met Gogo.
See the problem?
Actually, Cid infused everyone able to use magic. So he definitely did Celes, Kefka and Leo, but I'm not sure if he infused Terra or if that is just her natural magical abilities.
And if all of those things gave Gogo the powers to save them, whose idea was it to cram him inside a cave?
And Duncan isn't dead. :p Unless I missed something.Quote:

Ummm...I don't know.
It wasn't there? Hey, I wouldn't be hanging around either if there were dinosaurs wandering about...
1) Memories of his father's sword techniquesQuote:

4) Yes he did.
5) Did you even read the first paragraph of my explanation? I imagine not, since you aren't going, "OMG, You linked FF6 and FF7!!!1!!one! You should be bannned!!"
Yeah...uh...that was really Duncan's ghost that taught Sabin the last technique. Yeah.
EDIT: Fine, Lets say that the Monk Job Class from FF5 taught him the Blitz techniques.
Perhaps the Zone Eaters where underground during the World of Balance, shaping the caves which you wander through. Steverson probably died there attempting to sway the political standpoint of the People that inhabited the caves.
That was the most beautiful lore of Gogo I have read. HOW DARE YOU ALL QUESTION IT!
LH I never mentioned a problem with him learning Blitz techniques.
Though I just played through again, you're right Cid was involved. Sorry about that.
He was napping.Quote:
