Self explanatory. What songs get you so worked up that they make you want to cry? Here's mine:
~Hallelujah-Jeff Buckley
~Fly to the Angels-Slaughter
~(even though it's country)Don't Take the Girl-Tim McGraw

there are a few songs that have almost made me cry from anger the first few times i heard them. the ones that come to mind at the moment are the casualties's unknown soldier, anti-flags 9-11 for peace (yeah laugh all you want) and bob dylans blowin' in the wind (yeah laugh even harder if you must...) and a few otehrs but i cant think of them right now.
Radiohead - No Suprises
Jimmy Eat World - Cautioners
Modest Mouse - Horn Intro/World at Large
Radiohead - True Love Waits
Pink Floyd-Nobody Home
Pink Floyd-Mother
The Beatles-For No One
:( Just because a song is country doesn't mean you should be ashamed of it making you cry. Or ashamed of it at all. It pains me to see that people would say this.Quote:

a song that makes me cry is a song from bette miller, wind beneath my wings....mymom sang that to me before she died!
No song has ever made me cry, but when I hear Eric Claptons-Tears in Heaven...I choke up a bit because it was played at my friends funeral.
addicted-simple plan
Gold Dust ~ Tori Amos. T.T
I can't think of a song that's made me actually cry, but these come close.
J Ralph - Untitled 17
Rob Dougan - Nothing At All
Yasunori Mitsuda - Radical Dreamers
Actually Final FantasyX-2's 1000 words made me cry...
I meant no offense, Kirobaito. :shame: I only meant that country songs don't usually get me worked up the way "Don't Take the Girl" does (beautiful song, by the way).Quote:

I've never cried over a song or music...
Tears in Heaven - By Eric Clapton.
Yeah this song make me cry too but most of all when I hear this song 'Hello' form EvanescenceQuote:

How can you cry from a song? Unless its realy realy bad music.....so then I would have to say anything by Norrah Jones (spelling?)
Well I can't think of any songs that actually make me cry, but these are the songs I listen to when I'm down, which usually just make me more depressed. ;p
Counting Crows - Goodnight Elizabeth
Garbage - Cup of Coffee
Tori Amos - Tear in your hand
Jewel - Wild Horses (Live)

I want to know the words to Dies Irae,
In case that's obligatory at the arches.

I've only cried because of two songs, and more so because of what they meant to me in particular.
Hillsongs - Shout To The Lord, during my parents' divorce.
Darius - Right Girl Wrong Time, 'cause of a girl.
songs played in funerals make me cry.....honestly songs outside that dont make me cry but add a loss of a loved one they put in a song....and i just pour out.....im fine with it cause thats the only time i can cry wthout no-one hearing me....

That'd be a long list for me... I am very very easily affected by music. Abide With Me makes me cry. The Duet with Radiohead and Bjork of I've Seen it All. Can't think of any more specifically right now, but trust me, they exist.
Just so you know, that's 'The Lonely Shepherd' by Zamfir.Quote:

Blink 182 - Adam's Song
Don't judge me!!!
I cried because of these three songs (in this order...of cry...ness).
"The Day The World Went Away (Quiet)"- Nine Inch Nails
Reason: It was really because I was shocked at how depressing it sounded. Yes, I know that NIN makes depressing songs. That one hit me weird the first listen though.
"Coma White"- Marilyn Manson
Reason: I don't know. The album that song was on already been out for a few years. It just hit me in a certain way one day.
"And All That Could Have Been"- Nine Inch Nails
Reason: It hit me hard the first listen...and then the song became attached to an emotional part of my life. This is a great song if you are looking for a moody tune.
Evanesence-My Immortal. I guess it just strikes an nerve, because I have a nasty tendancy to carry about "ghosts" myself.
Wow... there are 12 I can think of. Pretty awkward, but here goes...
Beach Boys - Don't Talk
Dinosaur Jr. - Not The Same
Final Fantasy VII - On That Day, 5 Years Ago
Final Fantasy VII - Interrupted by Fireworks
My Bloody Valentine - Sometimes
My Bloody Valentine - Moon Song
Radiohead - Motion Picture Soundtrack
Serial Experiments Lain - Hitoribatchi 1
Smashing Pumpkins - Galapagos
X Japan - Forever Love [even though I can't understand it]
X Japan - Art Of Life
X Japan - The Last Song [see 'Forever Love']
Wish You Were Here-Pink Floyd.
I can't think of any songs that have made me burst into tears, but here's a couple of songs that make me feel a little sad:
~ Eyes on Me (Faye Wong)
~ Into the West (Annie Lennox)
~ Here With Me (Dido)
I can't think of any more at present. I don't normally "get that emotional".
Dance with my Father - Luther Vandros.
This is possibly the saddest song I've ever heard, and it always makes me tear up.
The lyrics are here.
(ditto for my songs)Quote:

Isao Mizoguchi - Lunar: SSSC - Recollection (OST - track 13. OST version is much better)
Feeder - Comfort in Sound - Child in You (I really have no idea, but then again, it doesn't make me feel that sad).
I forgot about that song. It's sad, cause it's about the death of Amy Lee's little sister. :|Quote:

I feel stupid saying this but... "Bang Bang(My Baby shot me down)" from Kill Bill made me cry. But just a little bit. :-/
I forgot about that song, it's certainly very good and well placed. Sad song. Nancy Sinatra sings it well.Quote:

No songs have ever made me cry, but the saddest I'd have to say are:
Lifehouse - Hanging By a Moment
FFVIII - Eyes On Me
Dream Theater - Disappear
Pain of Salvation - In the Flesh
Spock's Beard - Wind at my Back
Jeff Buckley - Halleluja
Pearl Jam - Last Kiss (cover)
When I'm gone - 3 Doors Down
Sing for the Moment - Eminem
Youth of Nation - P.O.D.
1. Because when i here it i think of the soliders in Iraq.
2. The part when he says "or for any1 whose ever been though $h*+ in they lives so they sit and they cry at night wishin' they'd die...", that applies to me in more ways then one.
3. The beginning when they say "Last day of the rest of my life i wish i woulda know cuz i'da kissed my mama goodbye, i didnt tell her that i loved her, or how much i cared or thank my paps for all the talks and all the wisdom he shared... Unaware i just did what i always do..."
---The Ending theme for FFX. It makes me cry not exactly because it's sad, but because I think it's beautiful, and what's going on while it's playing.
---Drown, from Limp Bizkit. I always end up listening to it when i'm in my room, on my bed, really depressed. It fits my mood perfectly, and I have it on repeat for hours.
Hmm, that's all I can come up with for now, but I know that there's more.
EDIT: Gollum's Theme makes me sad, whenever I hear it, because of the character that he is.
---Anything of the songs with voices from LOTR. A lot of them, to e, are beautiful, but depressing to listen to.
:D
Hey, who'm I to laugh? Imagine me! One of the most played songs at the moment, and it makes me go all misty.
thong song
