I don't mean hardest to find, I mean hardest to actually get to. I chose Alexander cuz Great Glacier is retarded.

I say bahumat ZERO cause I always screw it up...^^;
Bahaumut Zero, yeah. I've never actually gotten it.
KotR, because getting a gold chocobo is a pain. Don't you get Bahamut Zero just by bringing Bahamut and Neo Bahamut to the blue huge materia? :eep:
I think that Alexander is the hardest to get, even when i knew how to get it it took me 2 hours to find it :choc:
alexander is the hardest, i had a precise map of the area, but i still couldn't find it :s
KotR!!!!! Is this really a question? As GLR said, getting a gold chocobo is a P-A-I-N!!!!!! And Alexander is not that hard to get.
AgreedQuote:

Kjata! The damn thing kept running away from me!
But really, I think for me it was KOTR.
:D
kotr is so damn hard to get because of getting a gold chocobo :mad2:
Trying to unlock the rocket without cheating has always been hard. Even after I've already done it 5 times in games past.
dude, i was gonna say the same thing but i was afraid everyone would bash me for not using a guide. Stupid rocketQuote:

OR you could just beat Ruby weapon, which is REALLY fun when you don't have Mime, which you need a gold chocobo for.
You don't need a gold chocobo to get Mime, a green one should do it too.
Hm, I stand possibly corrected.
Alexander, it's the only materia I've never gotten.
Bahamut-ZERO it's the only summon I didn't got. This is still my first game of FF7, so I hope him to get him after beating Emerald and getting the Mastered Materia's
even so it doesnt take long to get Kjata :choc:Quote:

Yes, the Ancient Forest sucks too.
I said Alexander because I could always find the hot springs OR the Snow Woman but never both in one go. The area is nigh impossible even with maps. I actually found it easier to kill Ruby to get a gold chocobo for KotR than to manage to fight Snow for Alexander.
Kjata just requires a little patience. Run around in the trees pressing circle. But first make sure you didn't get it already and forget.Quote:

Alexander. KOTR would probably be easy if i tried. Alexander, I found ONCE, and it was by MISTAKE lmao. so, w/e i try to find it again...i cant  and it's annoying. i dont think KOTR is hard to get cause...honestly i haven't tried
KotR was the hardest for me. Breeding a Gold Chocobo was very hard and required a lot of luck, effort and time, and I had to search the world over to find the island. Alexander wasn't that hard for me. I made it to the cabin place quickly, so I got a lot of time to explore the area after that. It took me about an hour to get Alexander. Typhoon was also somewhat hard because Ancient Forest was annoying. And I never even used Typhoon after getting it! However, I'll still say KotR. It's also the hardest one to get without a walkthrough since there's not many hints in the game about how to get a Gold Chocobo.
I once played the game for so long that I managed to make Chocobo Sage say everything needed for a Gold Chocobo. It's not Sage's tips that are giving you the information needed. Instead, talk to the Sage and then make your way to the Chocobo Farm. Chole will turn Sage's words into a sensible form and will eventually tell everything, including where to get Good, Great and Wonderful Chocobos or Carob/Zeio Nuts.Quote:

I also found all the digits for the safe by myself (in the Nibelheim mansion). Ancient Forest isn't hard, but very annoying.
Again, these are all my opinions.
Please, enlighten me. How the hell does great Glacier work? I'm getting better at recognizing landmarks in simple areas but I'm still SOL most places. (I swear to God the level designers there were on LSD.) :whaaa:
I'm not changing my answer of Alexander no matter what. :) Even if I do find out how Great Glacier works.
tottally agree
To get Alexander, (SPOILER)just go right twice in the snowboarding part. Then, you should land near a cave. Go the exit on the right, behind the cave. From there, just keep going up until you find the hot springs. Then, when you get to the part where you need to place markers to know what direction you're going, walk a little bit forward, then have Cloud turn right and continue going in that direction the best you can until you exit to the area where the Alexander chick is waiting. By the way, when I say "up," that refers to all the "hotspots" that are visible on the map. Sometimes, the paths in between the "hotspots" will make it look like you're going south when you are actually going north (yes, they had to be on something  ).
1) Thank you
2) If you highligh that smiley you put it looks strange
3) Maybe I'M on something if I'm distracting my own thread over smileys... :(
4) I'll stop now. Thanks again, Jolts.
Alexander is the only summon I've never been able to get my hands on.
Alexander, 'cause I can't be bothered such a lame summon, maybe if it was easier to get, maybe then...
It's not really lame, since I believe it's the only Holy element attack you ever get your hands on.Quote:

Plus, getting and MASTERing Alexander (and all other summon materia) is the only way to get a second or third Master Summon.
I haven't finish the game I am at the Glacier but Bahamuth, Levianthan, Choco-Mog and Titan were piece of cake!
I put Leviathan as a joke, since as I recall you automatically get it as part of the storyline (for saving the girl, who gives it to you after she recovers and before you move on to upper Junon). I'm surprised someone actually voted for it.
I got Leviathan at Wutai!
That's SHIVA! You get LEVIATHAN in wutai.Quote:

who voted choco-mog??? :p lol
to be honest, nothing in ffVII is as annoying to get as imp, bomb and mage in ffIV. grrr why wont the monsters drop the items!!!
where do we get Alexander? I want to know if it is that hard to get it!
when you think about it choco-mog isn't actually that obvious, i just stumbled on it because i was amazed by the chocobos that i just had to talk to them :choc:Quote:

Alexander divinity is held by a real easy boss in the ice mountain before the bit where u start climbing to northern cave. shes difficult 2 find, AND she will only fight u if u have touched the hot springs, which is also not 2 easy 2 get 2. so yes its difficult. though i still think KOR wins it...
that and phoenix, you need to get it in order to finish the fort condor events :choc:Quote:

fort condor aint optional, you need to do it to get the huge materia, and that allows you to fight weapon at mideel :choc:Quote:

you cant go down untill you pick up the phoenix materia though, since when you pick it up the egg cracks open, and you need to see that before you can go down, beleive me i have just got past that bit again :choc:Quote:

woot :moomba: , Jolts coming 2 my rescue. i geniunly cant remember if Phoenix is optional though.
well i might be wrong but im sure phoenix needs to be aquired :choc:
Next time, try going up there, but don't pick it up. See if that works (I'm not absolutely sure if it's requred or not, but I'll check when I get there again).
You don't even have to have Shiva. Don't forget, there is a "trash" option ;).Quote:

lol, i wonder if anyone ever thrashed KOR by mistake??? :D
lol that would be hilarious :choc:
That would certainly suck. I know I have never done that.
i havent trashed any, but i lost one of my enemy skill materia and added cut when i ran out of materia space and they got lost in the overflow. what a ******...
Everybody say ENGURISH!Quote:
Actually, the in-game name is Typoon. I just recently noticed that. Kinda' stupid, but there you go.
ahem.
Same reason, Aeris is called Aeris and not Aerith, the Japanese don't have certain sounds in their language so they "compensate"...
I think Alexander was pretty damn easy to get when I tried. Most people seem to go to the wrong water instead of the spring, and to these people I say "SPRINGS BUBBLE YOU MORONS!!!".
Seriously though, KotR sucks 'cause of the chocobo breeding.... really, who can be @r$3d?
i can be more then arsed, i absolutly love Chocobo breeding and riding. pure joy
oh yeah I can be arsed, I love riding and breeding it's just kind of a drag having to fight crappy lil monsters I could kill with my big toe and a pair of tweasers to get nuts...
I've bred my Gold, now I'm breeding more :D. After the first, it's easier though, since you already have the Wonderful and Black to breed a second Gold, then just keep breeding Golds with other Golds.
im surprised no-body voted for titan, it took me ages to find him :choc:
he's simple to find. he's in the ruined reactor, where wats her face is looking for that huge materia, and says something like it's just plain materia and leaves.
I think KOTR is the hardest. The chocobo racing is pain. :mad2: Especially all the gil you have to make to afford the greens. Even though it gets easier once you start to master the all materia. :D
If it counts, I guess I can say Master Summon is the hardest (or most time consuming) to get. I like breeding chocobos, and I don't mind the Ancient Forest that much.
yeah but you cant see it :choc:Quote:

Alexander is a bitch to find if you suck at the Glacier like me, but if Chocobo breeding is harder KotR is nigh-impossible. Just remember you can kill Ruby Weapon for one (gold chocobo not KotR materia that is). I was doubly screwed since I suck at Glacier AND breeding.
You can if you leave the area and go back. Well, you might have to go back on disc2 or 3, I'm not sure. I just remember that my very first play through, I missed Titan when I had the first chance, and when I went back to the ruinned reactor, I noticed a red dot on the screen that wasn't there before ;).Quote:

I myself, found that Alexander was indeed the hardest. I hate the Great Glacier....really gets on my nerves. I usually just bypass it now whenever I play....I just let my self pass out.
