Aw crap. More newbs. <_<
Rock.
Awesome. When will this hit stores, so I can pick up a copy?
It's the October issue, so I'm assuming end of August it would be on shelves.
OOC: Dating, release times, etc... with magazines is so damn confusing. They should release an August issue the first day of August, with all relevant info at the time, then 1 month later release a September issue, etc... but no, they have months on them which means "Display until" so you can get an October issue in August, especially early if it's mailed to you, and it'd be the same as the one sitting on store shelves for the next month or more.
Blah.
We're famous.
I bet you 30,000 pie points I get my own paragraph.
Wasn't the invisible lady an Unne thing?
Yeah, but they didn't give the URL to http://www.planetnintendo.com/ff1/invisible.shtml :(
Poor Oon-ay
They should've advertised the forum moreso than the main site. The site is great and all but you can find a lot of that elsewhere. But there's no other forum like EoFF :D
I agree! It's still pretty cool though. Anyone have a scan of the ad?
Fwah, I haven't received my copy yet. Hmmm..Quote:

I'll make sure to steal a copy from my neighbor. Being mentioned in EGM is one of the greatest achievements someone (or in this case, a website) can have. :)
Hey. thats awsome.
That's so cool. :)
I would have to say that the Site Staff have done their jobs well. :)
I would have to agree with Leeza
Congradulations us? Me? Sean/Cid?
Congrats everyone...we has done good.
Indeed. Pat yourselves on the backs, folks! We are now officially obsessive ^_^
I used to subscribe to EGM...
I think being spotlighted on SomethingAwful was better publicity.
Yeah. SA made me laugh. This one makes me sleepy.
come for the tips, stay for the ghostraping
Brace yourselves everyone - the newbies are coming. *shudder*
On a positive note: Well done, all. :)
when have the newbies not been coming?
The newbies is coming.
I suppose it's a testiment more to the fact that there is a lot of activity here at EoFF than anything else, but that's still cause for celebration.
Take care all.
Well isn't that nice.
When somebody gets a copy of this issue can they scan the article for us?
Friends! :excited:

Congratulations to all those whose work has been acknowledged. Hopefully we won't be attacked by swarms of newbies over the next month or so. :)
Oh, count on it.
Let's hope that one of those newbies turns out to be a keeper.
OOh isnt that nice. We're printed in real text...on real paper.
Gives one a warm glowey feeling, wot wot?
Chaos
It's going to be an all out invasion soon.
It is pretty neat though, to be nationally recognised.
Someone scan it and post the whole thing.
Hey, that's pretty awesome! Now we can gather more friends and have more people to hug! ^________________________________________^
Oh noes! Teh n00bs! :exdee:Quote:

Uh... Congratulations.
Mark my words, some new folk aren't completely incompetant. We hunt back. :)
The newbies are coming *orders canned food, a shotgun and hides in the basment*
I had Bush's Baked Beans with Brown Sugar. Best damn food ever to come out of a can.

Sort of!
I just got mine in the mail. Really, it's not that big of a deal - it's a really small piece at the bottom of the page. I scanned the whole page, though. Here you be.
(pretty big image - I halfed the size, though. a little blurry from the resize, but still readable.)
Hey it's better then nothing :p
D'ohhh, beat me to it. It's taking forever to get my issue.Quote:

Aww, I was expecting at least 1/4 of a page. This is more than a fan site! Its THE best final fantasy site there is!
Hey, were up there with HBO(EDIT: thats halo.bungie.org by the way). Being a halo player (PC, I dont want to enter the realms of the Xbox) I can say that its a pretty big reputable site Id even strech to say THE best halo site there is. Thats the best of the best there.
I really don't know what everyone else was expecting, but that's all they do. The Online This Month section is always a small article about something new online and then a really small portion with fansite links.
I never expected Unne to call it FF1. Shame.Quote:

My mother appparently got me a subscription of EGM in late May... I haven't gotten a single issue yet. Go figure. I hope I get this one.
Hey, it's still good to be recognized. It may be a blurb, but in that blurb they gave a pretty glowing review.
If anyone else hasn't done so, I'd like to introduce myself as one of the " n00bs " as you guys put it, here from seeing the spot in EGM.
First off, I'd like to say congrats on the recognition in EGM. It may not be much, but it's something.
Secondly, I would just like to let everyone know that I know how to handle myself at a forum. I frequent two others and am even a moderator at one. So no worries on me running around spamming the place up.
I guess that's all I got. But again, congrats guys.
Congratulations to you all for your hard work getting recognition. It's been years (and I do mean years) since RPGFan got a nod in EGM.

Welcome, here's 1000 Giga Points to get you started.
Please don't see the past few posts as a true indication of our views to newbies. While there are a few people who do eat newbies *cough*kirobaito*/cough* most of us are actually very warm and welcoming. Feel free to post your views and opinions freely.
That's a problem. *hands over a can of spam*Quote:

First, congrats to the wonderful Site Staff that make sure that this IS the Largest Final Fantasy Resource Online. I take my hat off to you guys and gals.
Second, welcome to the new people coming to the forums because of this. It is a great site with a great forum, and you'll surely fit right in, as long as you follow the rules.
Third, a special thanks to EGM for advertising us. They shall be getting a letter of thanks from me.
Yay newbies. I love newbies cause everyone is always mean to them and i am pretty much a newb cause ive only been here for a month but hey i already think of all yall as family. 1000 Points fer ya then....Sorry!
Special kudos should go to Loony BoB, whose life mission is to make this the best site ever. Without him there'd be no site staff.
Congrats and a toast to the best place on the Net.
(*Gets cold shiver*)
The n00bs are coming..........
They're lose....QUICK! BARRICADE THE DOORS! Or....make them form an orderly line....?
Yeah, you got to hand it to him. A big chunk of the workload is done by him. :up:Quote:

Yeah, BoB did a great job on the FF1 section, aka the only game section specifically mentioned in the article.
*goes and cries in a corner somewhere*
Fine. Everyone praise Unne and FF1 since we all know he's the type of guy who loves attention.
How about Bleys? We can't forget him and his great effort to put the FF7 PC patch on the site. :(
I think that all the Cid's Knights and staff and admins should be praised. It is them who made this site as workable as it is.
And to all the members that made it a success.
Ultimately, just congrats all around! Everyone who visited, posted, worked on the site, whatever. We all contributed, even if it's just random thoughts in the forums! Good job all, especially to the staff!
Do we get to drink Bacardi, too?Quote:

Yep, triple what you made before.
And EVERYone knows, ot times three still equals ot.
I just spotted it today. I decided to stop by and see if anyone caught it. Well, looks like a few people noticed.... :mog:
Gah what issue is it, i bought the September one, but i cant find it... HELP ME!!!
October. It has Scarface on the cover. Yes. They are making a game out of Scarface.
if i counted the months correctly on my fingers its august. How did you get an october issue in august?
Yeah I saw that it's awesome I love EGM even more than I did before :D and um who is the invisible lady??? .
I didn't find it, I read about it.
Okay, here's a little lesson for you, just so you know. The month of the issue is actually the month that it should be pulled from the store shelves. So that's why they're almost always a month or two ahead. Clear it up for you?Quote:

Nope, they're making a game based on the prospect that Tony SURVIVED after the end of Scarface. It's supposed to play like GTA, but with some differences of course.Quote:
