Have you equipped the abilities to prevent the zombie,silence..etc?That is very important.
nice idea :) do you know what its elemental weaknesses are?
I know it absorbs shadow damage, making Ark useless, so I guess maybe Holy? Bird Killer can do more damage and probably Devil Killer too.
I've said it once, but I'll say it again:
Use Steiner's 'Shock' which does 9999 and use Zidane for physical attack which easily inflicts 6000-9999, use Eiko's 'Holy' which does 9999 in damage (don't forget to use her curaga as well).
And at last Quina's 'Frog Drop' does 9999 as well.
If you don't use these characters you can use any others...nevertheless 'Necro' is dead meat for sure.
Hey blue_midget192 have you taken Climhazzard or Shock with Steiner?Because they do to him 9999 damage and if he has protect they still do 6500-7000,they are one of the most useful abilities.
when i faced necron, my entire party was dead except for zidane who was on 2 hp. necron used blue shockwave which reduces your p to 1 so any other move would have killed me, instead i was dropped to 1, attacked one last time and killed the big freak. i was soooo lucky,
oh right, you're problem, um....i know if you buy dark matter in treno it does him 9999 damage if thats any help
Wow what a lucky guy,you should play to casino. :pQuote:

Come now, I beat Necron with my strongest character being Zidane at level 55 and with no really good techs. I never even got any of the
-aga spells. Basically, equip the protection stuff and make sure you have someone with a revive ability. Memorize the pattern of his attacks, and make sure you are protected from most of the status ailments he causes. I found Auto-Regen to be quite useful. If you keep this in mind and keep hammering on him he goes down no problem.
Freya's Dragon Crest ain't half-bad either. I don't quite remember what I did with Amarant (toss?), but let's face it, you WANT his Chakra when he hits Trance!
The real key is, I think, status-guarding abilities, then Auto-Regen and HP+-things are high on my list.
If you think that was lucky, all my party died but Vivi had auto-life, revived the others and killed necron on my first ever attempt to beat the game......wish i could be that lucky on , vi-x! lolQuote:

Then catch 99 frogs at the various marshes and use Quina's frog drop.
Defeat a bunch of the grand dragons with Freya in your party, then use her Dragon Crest.
Just go around and steal a bunch of stuff with Zidane. Raise you spirit stat as much as you can to increase the likely-hood of success.
All these attacks will do 9999 every time. It's the best offensive attack you can have. Sometimes I replace Quina with a healer, or Amarant with the healer ability equipped, but with them, you should mash Necron into the ground. Sure, it takes a lot of time to kill enough dragons for Freya's Dragon Crest to max out, and frog catching gets very tedious, and stealing with Zidane takes forever, but in the end, you can take everything down easily, even Ozma.
If you have auto-potion, chemist and auto-regen and plenty of stocked hi-potions, you won't need a healer either. Invincibility!
Let's go together to casino. :DQuote:

i don't think blue_midget192 can get out of memoria and obtain all the things ie dark matter....unless theres a way to get out of memoria?some tell me, cuz i've tried with no success.
if you're really lazy, just try leveling up. i beat him with no abilities to protect against the ailments. then again, i had to raise my party to level 65-70, and even then it wasn't as easy as id thot. it doesn't take long to level up. there's a red fiend that appears near the broken clock with gives a nice amount of ap. :D
Before fighting Deathguise and Kuja, outside the final room, you know the crystal world, there is a save which leads you to Invincible if you want...but if you do this, then you have to get from the beggining of Memoria..Quote:

Teleport, and from there you can go to the Invincible.
Teleport back using the save point before Kuja then run down the steps and you should stand on a platform which you can use to get to the Invincible.

The real final boss, as in (SPOILER)Necron? He isn't that hard, is he? I used Zidane, Dagger, Eiko, and Vivi.
Zidane: Attack/Grand Lethal when possible
Dagger: Heal or summon Bahamut
Eiko: Cast Holy or summon Madeen
Vivi: Cast Flare or Meteor
Just use Dispel whenever he protects/shells himself and you should be fine.
Lather, rinse, repeat...
I used a party of Zidane, Steiner (shock/best limit break), Freya (for Dragon Crest; it did 9000+ damage, as I had spent much time killing Grand Dragons with Quina's Lv 5 Death :D), and Garnet (she can cast Curaga; Eiko can't).
For tactics, I had Zidane attack and occasionally use Elixers to restore MP to Steiner, Steiner use Shock, or go into trance, in which he did 9999 damage with a regular attack, and Freya use Dragons Crest (and Rei's Wind, at the start). Garnet, of course healed and supported.
He is really not that hard; in one instance Grand Cross wiped out my entire party except for Steiner, who was raged (ie, I couldn't use Phoinex Downs), and he still died.
Unfortuneatly, the worst part of Grand Cross is the Death effect, and there is no way to prevent that, so defend yourself from what you think are the worst of the statuses (Blind, Confuse, Petrify, IMO) and fight onward, brave warrior.
6 things to point out
1 odin dose like 8k damige to all bosses
2 ekio and phionix is usefull but dont use it too ofen
3 all of zidanes trance moves do about 9999 to necron when you hit level 65+
4 you quadruple vivis attack power by having him cast it on all your party when you have reflect on
5 necrons music is cool
6 he attaks 3 times then uses the status thing at the start
Right, aint bin on it for ages now, and the chocobo side quest? that is the one where u ahve to get the block things with the clues on and search the world map :) is there only one chocobo forest? or what any help with the side quest? also where would i find grand dragons? :)
I defeated Necron by the skin of my teeth! Zidane was down to 130 HP and equipped with Auto-life , just kept bombarding the bastard with Grand Lethal until he succumbed.
Threw down my controller , did a little victory dance before laying back to watch the awesome end FMV !
Am I the only One who thinks that trance kuja is so damn hard.He dose Flare star three times in a row each one doin 2000 anyway necron piece of piss just heal and summon (I recommend Ark) and attack easy
The day I beat it I was an hour late for work. After killing Necron I was like, that can't be the final boss. That was too easy, no way. Then my friend wrecked his :cry:Quote:
