A nice combination of Meele and gun fighting.
A solid game, with emphasis on the gameplay rather than fan-service (that's what AC was for).
I'd like to see a return of the FF7 world map, except PS2 style.

As long as it have good story, characters, gameplay and music I'm fine with it.
But I really, really, really want Ultima Weapon to be an optional mega hard super boss. Ultima Weapon MUST be in it!
I also would like to see some summons in it.

Return of materia and world map plz.
1. A full blown FF-style RPG...yeah a Vinnie Val action game would be nice but I liked DMC on its own, I don't need another game like it just with different characters.
2. For Vinnie to use some melee weapons besides guns (a la DMC, haha)
3. Vinne to use awesome transformation Limits.
4. A world map, re-vamped materia system
5. Good music to compliment the game's dark feel
6. An awesome overview of Vin and Lucrecia's past, and how it effects the game's story.
7. Vin to narrate the game with an edge to his voice like in Max Payne.
For any returning characters to look close to the originals and not get 'made over'.

And just because Vincent has a gun why does it have to be a shooter/action game? I think the gameplay should be similar to FFXII or maybe it could be exactly like FFVII, if not it certainly would have to be revolutionary to be able to top FFVII.

I want a dark, hellish, action/adventure, third person shooter style game. Think Devil May Cry. Or Kingdom Hearts but more serious.
Can't you just imagine Vincent running around Midgar like Dante, shooting the crap outta everything? A monster jumps down on him, you hit a button and the corresponding direction to roll out of the way. You press a shoulder button and automatically lock on. The camera swivels around ever so perfectly. Oh no, the monster's too far away. Bolt2 mutha fugga! Stuff the victory fanfare, there's a whole world of crap to kill. But wait. The body hasn't disappeared yet, better make sure it's dead, you might as well make use of that damn gun anyway. 4-5 clips later, there's more bulletholes than body, so you decide to move on. Repeat until game ends.
I want it to have the same sinister mood that FF7 had but I want to be able to play someone with a gunblade too. I also want Cid, Red, Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Rude, Reno, Elena, Reeve and Rufus (it's not confirmed that he actually died) to be main characters too because there really isn't a game without these characters. I want a much harder and evil final boss, soundtrack music done by Nine Inch Nails, Limp Bisket and Korn (I really have the feeling that the music is going to be 'gothic' because of the vampire thing), a pissed off Ultimate Weapon that tries to attack Vince because he whooped it's ass, more coverage on the whole Cetra stroyline, more character development with Vince, Rude, Reno, Reeve, Rufus, Cid, Red and Barett and for Lucrecia to come back begging Vince to love her and him telling her to ":love::love::love::love: off you ho you ain't getting none of this, you missed your chance". And I also want Vince and Elena to fall in love *sniff* that would be so sweet!

I have a really really good feeling this game is going to be like an extremely fast paced version of Metal Gear... Sort of like Devil May Cry, but with guns and an intuitive aiming system. I think this has been done before, but I've not played any of these games. I see this game being very fluid, fast paced, fun, and god I can't wait to see those transformations.
To me Limp Biskit basically just sounds the same as they did in their first album and there's nothing wrong with Korn now they also just basically sound the same as they did in the beginning. And don't you start flaming me for having an opinion it's only music, it's not the end of the world if a band you don't like is chosen to do the soundtrack for a game you're playing. Wow. This is probably the first time in my whole entire life that I'd rather have a conversation with a cheerleader than a rocker. MehQuote:

ACTION RPG! yeah! I love them! where you can fight in real time but still lvl up like sword of mana...man I love that game! And a great FF7 spinoff story on vin's background..I wish he wasnt hidden to he coulda been used in the movied in the game....
When you are fighting the Final Boss whoever or whatever it may be i don't want another version of OWA i want a totally new kick-ass final boss composition.

Vincent's transformations would actually work well here.
Environments: We already know Niflheim's in there, looking prettymuch the way it did in FFVII, so I'd like to see Mt. Nifl and Lucrecia's cave return in the same regard. The streets of Junon in a nighttime setting would be cool, too.
Music: I want to hear refined versions of "The Beginning of the Nightmare" (Vince's theme), "Anxious Hearts," and "Trail of Blood," and maybe a brooding remix of the FFVII main theme.
Gameplay: All of Vincent's original transformations should be implemented in addition to some new ones, but Chaos should remain the most powerful (except, of course, for the super-secret "need the strategy guide to figure out how to get it" ultimate one). Materia should at least be applied to his weapon, if not his armor or accessories. Non-FFVII-fan-service-wise, it'd be nice if he could grasp or tear at things with his claw-arm.
In general, there should just be a consistent flow of clever references to FFVII throughout the entire game, from character appearances (like Cait Sith, but also by minor characters like Zangan) down to passing allusions to issues and events raised in FFVII. (Random Niflheim townsperson: "Hey, remember when the town was just filled with crazy mumbling invalids draped in black cloaks? Was that crazy or what? Haha OH SHI--*Lost Number II smashes through a wall, start boss fight*")
It'll also be interesting to know what happened to Niflheim's citizenry ever since Shin-Ra, Inc. crumbled and the actors stopped getting their paychecks.
Hey, if they incorporate even some of those things I think it will be quite enjoyable. Transformations are a must, I think.
I want the Turks in the game and I want it to be grimy and bloody as hell. And I do want it to resemble DMC, people act like that would be a bad thing...

They should let you play as other characters. Like oh I done know maybe... CLOUD!
One thing though, I think we can all agree it's gonna be like DMC!

I want something dark, gritty, (Midgar slums, etc), a nice amount of blood and gore (but not OTT), decent voice acting (damn Yuna-FFX), the materia and limit break systems, interaction with previous characters, more insight into Vincent's past, and most of all a decent storyline. SquareEnix, if you're listening, please make this a worthwhile wait!

I want you to unlock characters that you can play as once you've completed the game. I also think Rob Zombie would be perfect for this game's soundtrack.
And if this game turns out anything like EHRGEIZ (sp?) I'll go on a killing rampage. >=)
I think it's been made pretty clear that it's an action adventure game, not a fighting game. Don't get all riled up.

I would like to play with Barrett though, that'd be hilarious. Vincent is fine by me though.

None of this "gothic" music, I want great classical/operatic music. Orchestral music that sets the mood and is both passionate and exciting when needed, as well as calm and deliberate when such is called for. Hell they could even steal from Mozart's Requiem by playing the Dies Irae like they did in X-Men 2. I'd still be happy.
No, Rob Zombie would not be good for this game. Neither would Korn. Nor Limp Bizkit.
This music should just meld into the environment without being too obvious; subtlety is not the specialty of any of those bands that were named.
Apparently it was quite good in the Japanese version but the American branch screwed it up (In my head, they all have English accents... ecxept Barret, but I guess that's just because I am English. Vincent, in my head, is most definatly a posh English man. Sephiroth is the same)Quote:

Nobuo is fine, he makes great music of those two genres I mentioned. After all, look at Aria di Mezzio Carattere.
hrm.. honestly im not too keen on the whole "devil may cry" style of gameplay... maybe thats because i am too much of a traditionalist, but it would be a darn shame if it turns out to be nothing but a hack 'n slash. Also, it would be good to get the free-form gameplay going, i.e. fewer restrictions on player choices. Diversity of gameplay would be good aswell, so far i have just seen dark, archaic environments. Think final fantasy VII, nibelheim and kalm town, and watai, three diametrically opposing environments that really give you the impression that your traversing great distances when you jump in your highwind and carve-up the skies. I do realize that it may not be the intention of square to allow this form of gameplay, but this is a "wish-list" right.

I was thinking..if it was an action-adventure game, you can transform when you get X amount of hits, just like limits.
Cid must be in the game, so does the highwind. Imagine a scene where you fight in the highwind, shooting things in the sky or something lie that.
yeah that would be cool but transforming and ripping enemies apart is fun to! but it all comes down to this will we see important things about poor vinnie's past???

I want to see Cloud & Tifa together as a couple without the dirty skank - er, I mean Aeris - getting in the way of my screen. Man, that was annoying. I just wanted for Cloud and Tifa to get together already. :( I was so happy when the end of the first disk graced my eyes. Ah, sweet heavenly relief.
