I saw the pictures of the meeting you guys had at Ontario Mills before, looks like fun! I live within 50 miles of Ontario Mills, we should round up everyone in the area and meet up sometime in the near future. I'm bored these days, this would be a good weekend thing to look forward to. Anyone interested? Let me know, let's set something up!

Let's just throw out a date so we have some boundaries. How does the last weekend of November sound to you guys? Let's get everyone's input who thinks they'd wanna come. If the date doesn't work for you just say so and we'll all adjust until we work something out. We could so totally have a field day!

Okay I just decided, we're totally doing this, I'm getting excited just thinking about it. How about a picnic? Pizza party? Let's hear it! I'll put in 40 bucks in awesome meeting party expenses. I'll keep stats at the top in boldface I'll adjust with people's input on the thread.

The only good parks I know of are in Corona/Norco, cause Ontario smells like cows. But a picnic would be fun!

It's mega-sad that a UK meetup still hasn't gone ahead, at least not on a large scale (I've met three EoFF'ers in the UK so far, although one was American). We probably have more UK members than Cali members and UK is a smaller place, so yeah.

Everyone knows I'd love to go to a Cali meetup but your funds don't meet my requirements of approximately £400.

Yay! Okay I'm adding a confirmed people list on the first post too, if anyone else wants to contribute to the funds I'll also calculate that all out. If you guys have any good ideas for a good picnic park we can do that. Eat ungodly amounts of food, play on childrens play equipment, hang out, drink soda, watch my overweight ass do a one handed cartwheel, etc. Ho man, this is truely going to be a great day.

It'll take a while for my 'getting people in free' thing is activated, but you're more than welcome to use it. I can get three people in at a time, so you can even bring friends. That's if I get the job of course, so we'll see. And being a mascot takes like 5 years of dance and acting experience apparantly. It's hard.

Cool! I wasn't even considering the possibility to get in free, I was just saying so I could eh.. You know, point at you and uh.. you know eat food that costs 20 times what it's worth, etc. I've been planning on visiting Magic Mountain this year because I haven't been in months and I love roller coasters, and I've also been planning a trip to Disneyland because I have a friend who is... well... not so fond of roller coasters.

Seriously, I'm up for comong around Februarish. I'm so disappointed, because me and my friend had to go to Thailand last month and he had to cancel because of his work and financial situation and I didnt wanna go alone. If there'd be Ashley and her ass ( brining it with you is important!) + Shlup ( who haets me =\ ) I wouldn't techincally be alone.

Me and Ashley and BJ and Cid and his wife and Nino Brown and Gau and Yams and BOU and... other people I'm forgetting off the top of my head live around here. So, Spiff, next time you wanna come out, feel free. Mik, if you wanna come in Feb, we'll be here.

I think Nicky's gonna be here for two hours in Febuary too. I owe her a lunch.

Ashley and I have cars and our own places so anyone who wants to visit at [almost] any time is welcome.

It's up to you guys but I was thinking along the lines of a picnic/party experience. Ontario Mills is sort of... Boring and... Not get-together~esque. It's more like, "hey everyone, let's all go to different parts of the mall now"

There are plenty of parks in the general area my grandfather has his annual company picnic at a really nice park down in that area so if you guy's can't think of one I can suggest this one... Although I'll have to find out the name and address from him tomarrow if you're interested. It has a large beach-style pool with treetop-style waterslides but more importantly large get-together areas with lots of tables, benches, play equipment and barbeque pits if we decide to go all out.

I think that would be a good idea for another time of the year, but around the time you're planning for is often cold, windy, and rainy. I think for this one we should stick to an indoor place, but a park would be cool for maybe the Spring or something.

And parents probably isn't a good idea. The idea of meeting everyone's parents is really not appealing. Except mebbe Mum. :*

I agree about the parents thing, and I forgot about the weather. Blarg. Maybe we should wait to decide when it's closer to the date? I mean, we can schedule a get together, and then decide on the exact location once the date is closer, that way we can get a better idea of what the weather can be like. Because, as most of us California residents know, the weather here makes no sense. It was like 90 the day before last, wasnt it? And now it's pouring rain.

I was half way joking about the parents thing anyway... Would anyone's parents really want to come to a Final Fantasy message board get-together? Hmm. Odd.

Anyway, like I said it's all up to you guys, November 27th was just a "thrown out there" kinda date so anything is still dynamic, the only thing is that it _has_ to be a Saturday, or at least a Sunday.

Indoors huh? How about Chucky Cheeses, Bullwinkles, or Scandia or somewhere fun... Anything is fine as long as we can:

a) Have a good time.
b) Eat more food than we should.
c) Fantisize about all the things we would do to ourselves if we looked like Cloud.

Like Mandee said, most of us can do it whenever. So even if we did this one, we could still get together whenever you would wanna come out.

Cold? We think it's freaking freezing. But it rarely gets below 60F, so that shouldnt be bad for ya. We dont have a technical fall or winter here, no many trees lose their leaves and it NEVER snows.

I was talking about February - March time, but you know you would wanna meet teh Mik in person, you do. :)

And if Shlup and Ashley wouldn't have anything against for meeting some "strangers" like from FFXI ( one or two), it would be cool, because they're cool and I know we could have lotsa fun.

Just as long as I don't have to drive much further and we're not outside I don't really care.

I also don't really care what day as long as it's not the weekend of Noveber 7th or a holiday or something, so if we wanna change it for Spiff that's fine.

I went for one meeting and had so much fun! We talked about everything in Spira and a bit about Gaia. :bigsmile:

We partied and MANUS was drunk. Think we decided to plant him beside a tree the last I remembered. Quin and DK held hands and walked into the sunset. Rantzien cried cuz he was excluded. Resha was hopping around like a frog and Levian was pinching his nipples throughout. Oh, Good times, good times. :bigsmile:

Then I woke up in the asylum with a straight jacket. I am not sure if that happened. :|
