The election is over. Redskins lost to the Packers.
Didn't you realize that America's leader is determined by football?
Nope but then I'm British so what do you expect :PQuote:

Not that either choice really helps us British people either, as if Kerry wins we'll lose our 'special' relationship with the US and be tottally isolated from the EU and if Bush wins we'll continue down on this hell road so I say good luck to them and chose the one that suits your country best.Quote:

I personally would love to see the communist party win, but good luck with that *grumble*

NO!
I'm only 16. :( But if I could vote, I'd vote Mistah Kerry instead of Monkey monkey Bush.
Yes, vote.
http://www.nbc5i.com/sports/index.html
However, I leave no choice in this election. Vote FW Southwest vs. FW Arlington Heights, at the bottom of the page.
everyone vote for the OTHER canadit whos name I cant remember. Ralph something. Green party?Yeah! Him!^_^(( :: cant vote, is only 15 :: )
The best way to send shivers down the spine of the collective minds which come to be known as government, is to vote and make your intentions known. Somewhere down the line, maybe, the right person will get into office and real progress can be made, but we must first take the steps as citizens and exercise our right.
Take care all.
Ralph Nader - Independant (Former Green Party?)
18-29 crowd are supposedly going to show up voting in record numbers, which is a good thing for Kerry. This election is too close for any real prediction. I expect to see vicious legal battles no matter who wins :rolleyes2
Might as well note vote, if you're voting for Nader. It's a waste of a vote.
Correct, Nader was not given selected to be the nominee by the Green Party in this election due to, among other things, his influence in the 2000 election. Now, I love Nader and think what he has to say is vitally important to this country's future, but I am frustrated that he is partially funded by Republicans who are hoping for a repeat of 2000.
Take care all.
Oh, I didnt relize. I tend not to watch the news I'm afraid. Hm. Well that certainly is intresting. Thank you.
Good luck to everyone who votes. I'm almost glad I can't vote yet, because I really wouldn't want to vote for Bush, but I would not vote for Kerry. D:
Already sent in my absentee. Kerry/Edwards '04!
I'm going early in the morning to vote.
Last time I voted, I chose The Green Party (Still too radical in some aspects, but better than Labour), and Chris Carter (Sure, he's a Labour MP but he went on to be our Environmental Minister because he's good like that).
;_; Alliance!
But yes. We got rid of Banks, now you guys get rid of Bush, and then we'll move on to Blair xD
I'm going to vote as well, but I'm not particular sure who to vote. I was sure to vote for Kerry, but my mom was like, "VOTE BUSH OR ELSE BITCH" to my brothers and me.
So, I think I'll vote whoever I want to vote for...
Go Kerry.
I voted absentee 'cause I'm just that lazy. What I'd really like though is a sticker that says "I voted for your mom."
xDQuote:

I voted about an hour ago. When I walked in and had a sign on that said "LOCAL GAY PINKO COMMIE ANTI AMERICAN TERRORIST!" I got some classic recations. :D
Oh, and my poll was in a cathothic church, of all places. :p
I just got back from casting my votes. It's a record turnout, make it a REAL record turnout, get your ass out there and vote. If you don't vote you have no right to complain about the outcome later :D
I dissagree with this statement. Silence can be just as powerful a message as words if enough people realized it. If your registered to vote and don't, you have every right to bitch. Why vote when you don't think any of the candidates are worth a damn? I highly respect the people who register but refuse to vote until the give us a candidate thats worth the time it took to fit his armani suit. Its when you don't bother to even register and get invovlved at all that you really shouldn't be complaining.Quote:

I cant believe vermont :( *is sad to be a vermonter*
*Sigh* Bush has been winning like burning and that saddens and frightens me.
EDIT: Oops, I complete forgot how electoral colleges worked, for a second there, so forget I said that thing about Bush winning.
If you REALLY wish to make a statement, you go to the polls and click "No Vote" then click vote then leave.Quote:

I see refusal to vote the same as refusal to use a tool your given to do a certain job. Like my step ladder at work. I'm barely over five feet tall, so it's really nonsensical of me to try and reach the tall shelves without a step ladder.
There's always a candidate who will speak up for what you believe in to a certain extent. S/He won't encompass all your values, because who really can, but they can still be a decent voice for what you believe.
I think people's involvement in their world should be equal to their tendency for complaint.
I was more interesting in voting on the propositions then for president, which is why I voted 3rd party.
The polls make me depressed.
Good. If you're depressed I know things are on the up-and-up.
I immediately thought of you and smiled widely when I saw that...the FIRST state to go to Kerry. :D :love:Quote:

So far so good.
Before anyone gets too worried, the states Bush has won are states he was predicted to win. The states that are up in the air, often called the battleground states, are what is really going to determine this. Most of those states are still yet to be called.
Yup.
Plus, Kerry is expected to win California, which has something like 55 electoral votes.
I freaking hate California.
This thread is not the area to whip out my split personalities, so I'll just leave it like this. And I am not too pleased by the latest results either. I hope a large change occurs soon, or... *hides in corner*
Kerry is already loosing by 64, cool huh?Quote:

And none of the battle states have been called. Once again, you all are getting too worked up about Bush winning the states that he was SUPPOSED to win.
If only Bush wins Florida....
*calms down* Either way, I'll just sit back and watch. Anything can happen, I suppose.
Three of the Kerry-predicted states are currently "Leaning Bush" along with Bush winning every state predicted for him so far.Quote:

I actually really dont care as Vermont has few electoral votes. And I dont like kerry but I really dont care who wins. If I could I would Nader but, I know it wouldn't make a differince so I vote for which ever I like best of the other two :rolleyes2Quote:

According to ABC News, the latest results are:
Bush: 237
Kerry: 188
247 :D
I live in California too. For over 21 years now. I don't think its all that great... :|Quote:

*Hopes bush loses*
Ohio is leaning towards Bush. It's pretty much over.
I'm pretty disappointed in our country right now. I never would have imagined that we would have to endure four more years of this.
I hope Kerry holds Iowa. Then at least I can say that you can't blame it on us.
This is why I vote 3rd party. Either way, I am absolved of guilt. Huzzah!
(ps. go bush)
Well, even if Bush ends up winning, at least we all know he'll be assassinated this time around. ^_^
Joke...Any Canadians got a room for a annoying alaskan 14 if Bush wins??
I want to move in with Giga Guess. :(
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I'm actually pretty disappointed, myself. Even though I am more of a Republican than I am a Democrat, I voted for Kerry on the basis that I wanted to see Bush out of office. I honestly can't imagine anyone having a very high opinion of the man.
Then again, I voted in California, one of the few prime areas Kerry picked up electoral votes. So, what do I know.
Temple Knight can't vote! He's just a wee one... *pets*
Stupid California...
They are saying that John Kerry might still have a shot at Ohio... I don't know if that's the case but I sure hope so. I literally cried when I found out that Bush had won Ohio... I don't know what I am going to do if/when Bush wins...
I still don't get why people want Bush as a president. Care to enlighten me?
And for the topic, I'm not American, so I cannot vote for Kerry. :p
Some parts of CA do suck, (as with any state) but I like the area where I live. :) It's calm, has good weather, low crime, etc...Quote:

You know they're doing it on purpose. All those sneaky Ohio people have been waiting for years to get their turn in the limelight. Damn attention-nabbing spoons.
Too bad the Alaska marijuana legalization is going to fail. So close.
It's pretty well guaranteed that whoever wins Ohio wins the election.
I pray that things don't go the way they're leaning.
omfg it's 254 to 252 now! Really close...
I pray that things do go the way they are leaning. :D

And time to check how badly your country is still going:
Bush: 254
Kerry: 252
Communists: 0
Looks like the US is up the drainpipe without a paddle again, when will you people realise the Communests only have your best interests at heart?
Oh well for constant live updating goto here where it is updated every 5 mins with a colo(u)rf(u)l map and alsorts of information and graphs and crap :D

We're all gonna die. :(

Its Ohios fault that war manic war munger is off to destory the world for another 4 years. at least he cant stand a third term.
It's not Ohio's fault. It's a little more than 50 % of USA's fault. :p
Everyone I know voted for Kerry and Missouri still went to Bush. :(
I just hope Bush doesn't do much more harm.
I doubt it. I can't help but suspect that with his re-election the "War on Terror" hasn't even hit its prime, yet. We still have years left. Thankfully, that two-year term limit was established, so for as bad as it is we aren't screwed over entirely.Quote:

Edit: Ok, I will be nice.
I don't get why you guys are complaining. The majority selected Bush. So most of the country disagrees with what you are saying. EoFF = Democrats I will keep that in mind.
It's not so much that the youth didn't vote but that they only increased at the same rate as everyone else. So we're still relatively as apathetic, but it's not like there was no increase.
This thread was meant to encourage people to vote, and our dear Baloki would like to keep it that way. But voting's over so I guess this topic is done.
Please feel free to join another thread on this topic, probably this one: http://forums.eyesonff.com/showthread.php?t=52120
