Seriously.
They should come to Britain. Everyone is let in over here. Bonus housing if you claim you're being persecuted, which will be furnished if you claim your country doesn't have democratic elections.
I wouldn't mind leaving this country because of Bush. However, I think that I am going to stay here, and try to make a difference in 2008.
chaos: Thank god I already live there
I actually plan n mving to Britian sometime in the future.Quote:

There's this guy at the University I attend. constantly whining and complaining about the country. says Switzerland is the best country in the world. Does nothing but complain. no action taken or nuthin. Brings to mind an important question: if you don't like where you are, why are you still there? If you're a grown up, why not just leave?
I loved New Zealand when I was there :D    :love:Quote:

Like, don't you even care what goes on in America, that you'd leave? Does it affect you so much and so badly, that you wouldn't survive 4 years, then finally elect the person you want? Don't you find the notion of sticking around for what's important in any way admirable or even slightly appealing?
i don't want more yanks coming to britian, go to france they love idiots.
Enjoy your World Events ban ~Matt
How many yanks actually come to Britain?
Come to Australia. We don't have pre-calc here. When it comes to maths, we get straight to the point. Integrate this carpface!
You can make fun of the British and New Zealanders. It owns.
There's a room for rent here. I kid you not. 325 cdn a month
Pfft. I can buy an entire popsicle with that kind of money 'ere!Quote:

So stay and vote, dummies!
I agree with War Angel and Spiff. Why would you leave if the person you elected didn't win? I mean, the world isn't gonna end, and if it is, I can assure you moving to a different country won't do anything.
All I've been seeing these past few days is "I'm moving to Canada!" Well, what if the next person who runs Canada or something is like George Bush? Then what? Are you gonna stop your life there and country hop? I find it a bit silly.
But maybe that's because I can't even move in the first place.
I can't move yet and if I were to move I would need to do a TON of reasearch to find a job and houseing. Make sure it is okay with a significat other. Look at taxes. Look at the cost of living.
There is so much that goes into moving that you really need to be prepared to move in a huge way. There is more to it than filing papers and finding a place to work and live. Heck. This pretty much applies if you are moving across America. If you live in main and move to Arizona there is going to be a lot of differences.
I agree with Spiff. You'll never get your way if you just run away from the problem.
And I'd like to remind you all of the announcement ShlupQuack made yesterday about the "american's are idiots" and what not comments. Don't do that.
People saying that they're going to move to Canada and actually doing it are two different matters entirely. Like the article said, I don't expect this to really be a big issue.
With Bush in charge, I wouldn't be suprised if it does.Quote:

And just by leaving doesn't mean people won't vote in the next election; they do have absentee ballots for that.
Pfft, I'm moving to Antarctica. No one but scientists and penguins live there. You guys are silly! Silly emoticons.
you guys are sad.... just cuz bush got elected doesnt mean that much. its up to us to straighten this up right? if we dont like either parties we should so start out own ya know? non of those friggin 3rd parties now are any good tho... but still have some pride. holy crap. go to canada? australia? england?? come on!! thats just great. our own country falls apart because some frickin idiots cant handle it. it'd be YOUR fault ya know...
I just want to clarify that I have intended to move to the UK for a while now abd for the record I like Bush so he has nothing to do with me moving :D
Yeah! You can be a sore loser in Australia too! Like when said Brits beat you in the Rugby World Cup, you can demand that the rules of the game are changed! Fun for all the family! :pQuote:

No, no, no. You have it all wrong. The bible says the worlds gonna end after the middle east finds peace. You don't believe Bush will make peace over there in the next four years do you. (Just for the record I'm not pro- or anit- Bush)Quote:

Sheesh, politics destroys our nation more than anyone'd ever think. Keep in mind that I'm not saying that politics should not exist.
I'd like to see the feds set up a program to help give these people a huge jump on leaving the country. Kinda like gettin' a boot in the butt and a slammed door on the way out.
Seriously, though, that doesn't solve anything, aside from a possible surge in the Canadian economy. Spiff couldn't have said it any better.
Eh. -shrug- I seriously rather have everyone move to Canada then to hear everyone continue to whine about it. :rolleyes2
Come and become a Brit with me, Fuza! You, Myles, and I can live with Psy in his backyard.
OH!! Can we spell things wrong with U then?!?!?!??!?!?! Awesome!! -becomes Brit- :)Quote:

I would like to add that Democrats who decide to flock to Canada, if a majority of them do so, that will make the US a "one-party state" that only consists of mostly Republicans and a few Democrats. By fleeing, they're giving up on giving the Democrats a chance to make a comeback in a few years from now.
Anyone mad enough to leave, though, probably cares enough about what goes on in this country to vote by absentee ballot in the next election. Lots of people leaving this country because of Bush doesn't necessarily mean that republicans will sweep the elections next time.
Oh, just you wait :D. People will mock you for not being able to say 'colour' with your native accents.Quote:

Why is it people are moving out of the USA just because of a President they do not like. I guess they dont belong here and I dont care about them. Its like you can always hate are government, and love this country, but to leave just because a President has made a few "bad" decisions is extreme.
