Yeah, it looks good. Depp's really got the creepy paedophile thing going on, which will be scary and/or cool. I'm pretty sure it'll be great.
While Johhny Deep is my favorite actor I'm not to sure how this movie is going to turn out. Heres hoping good :beer:

There is no way this can turn out poorly.
It also stars Christopher Lee. It's like Sleepy Hollow all over again.
And Freddie Highmore, the kid was too amazing for words in Finding Neverland.
I haven't ever seen a movie darker or crazier than the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The reason I have low hopes for this movie is because I have a feeling this movie will be weirder through more popularly weird methods. The best part about Willy Wonka was that it was weird in ways that weren't popular... They were weird ways...Quote:

The name of the movie is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which is named after the book, unlike the original movie based on the book.
The movie trailer looks wonderful. I'm going to watch it for sure. :D

And Tim Burton? He made Big Fish, and that's like my favourite movie. It must be good.
Just to clear things up, this movie is NOT a remake of the first movie. In fact, Tim Burton didn't even like the first movie.
This movie will be Burton's adaptation of the book and from what I hear, he intends to stick much closer to the darker, creepier elements of the book than the first movie did.
Even better. I always did like the original movie, but Tim Burton is a genius with movies, so it should be good.

I've been excited about this film for ages now. Tim Burton is a brilliant director and Johnny Depp is a brilliant actor. People such as Helena Bonham Carter being in the movie doesn't hurt either :D
I'm so excited about this!
It may look superior in some aspects, but will never be as remembered, or loved, as the original.
