Doesn't have any mp3s on it, but has links to them. It's pretty crap.

This might be the beginning of a long online journey for you.

The frontsite has a lot of FF mp3s.
It could help(a lot) if you actually described your problem.
I think what shes trying to say is that a lot of these free mp3 download sites don't really have a way to download mp3s for free.

All you could find on those sites was crap.
By that I guess you mean anything that isn't German or Scandinavian industrial metal. Well, for some people that isn't neccessarily a bad thing.
That's not what I mean.
I'm saying that 90% of all the sites had broken links,
and when you found a site that worked it would have like less then 100 songs.
And it was always almost the same songs on all the sites.
I remember that I used to download a lot of music on actual websites before I discovered Napster.
There are still a few good russian sites that has a lot of good downloadable stuff,
but all the russian servers are extremely slow.
my brother downloaded me something that converts wma files to mp3 so i can have my cds on mp3....
i can't reamember the site so this is really useless...
Even still there were a couple of reliable sites that of course were eventually shut down. Couldn't remember for the life of me what they were, though. I think even after Napster was shut down there were a few sites were you get a hold of mp3s, but I don't think there'd be any now. I try not to use KaZaA if at all possible, mainly because its pretty crap - even the hacked version.Quote:

So, you're first ripping your CDs and encoding them with the WMA format, then you convert those to MP3? That's not a very good idea. The more conversions, the more quality loss. You should encode the songs directly to MP3. You can do that with several programs, for example CDex, which is also completely free.Quote:
