I was expecting an amazing mini game after seeing the intro to the game but when I got to play it however I thought that it was a bit slow and sluggish to play as well as being boring and repetative. The first time I played it though, I thought it was ok but then it gets repeptative, there isnt even any music in the background.
What do you think?
I agree I only did blitzball to get wakkas celestial weapon

It is fun ocasionaly, but it buggs me tha they have left out the 3 dimension. The intro looked much cooler.

I loved it my second game. I didn't bother playing it in my first, but then in my second, I think I spent at least ten hours playing. and from the fact that my timer is 50 hours greater than this game (with a lot less actually accomplished) I think it was a lot more than that.
I was actually trying to get their abilities and stuff. man, those were the days. Score two or three times with tidus and brother, then let jassu and shuu pass in the back unmolested so they could become ubercool.
let's just say that wakka's stuff was more than easy to get.
I really enjoyed blitzball when I had recruited a good team, playing for fun in the tournys and stuff. I thought it was a really cool minigame. I loved tackling people and learning abilities, and I really liked coming up with strategies to up weaker players' stats.
The only time it got boring is when I had to play for hours on end to get Wakka's Sigil. That got boring, because I didn't want to play anymore, I was just doing so as a means to an end.
If you want sucky blitxball, check our FFX-2s. You can't even control the characters, you just watch the game speedroll by. What's the point?
Oh, and GARNET - I resized your sig to the max height limit allowed by EOFF and attached it - its humungousness was starting to drive me crazy. :)
No I did not like Blitzball. I didn't even get the Jupiter Sigil.
I didn't like this either. I felt that the stats were ... unbalenced. It didn't feel 'realistic'.. or should I say perhaps.. "It didn't feel like a well simulated sporting game within the framework of the FFX engine."
I think they could have done better with it.
YOUR IN WATER.. so why not be able to fire the ball upwards or downwards?
There was a lot of things they could have added to it. I only played the main first game ... the world cup, and then exparamented with it a little but not in my game I was working through.
I love playing Blitzball. It's fun, but it gets old. If I do a league all the way through, by the end I'm lucky if both eyes are still open. But I do like it.

It's not too hard to play if you get a good team together, and even without a lot of the best players you can easily win enough to get wakka's stuff.

i loved blitzball! especially the jecht shot! I think i won 70 matches in a row :).

I liked Blitzball but it feels like it needs more time in the development room. It plays kind of clumsily, and reactions time from pressing the button is slow. They shoulda played more Tecmo Cup Soccer first. Now THAT'S an awesome sports RPG.

It was good until I got Status Reels and then it started to get tedious. Stopped when I got the J.S.
Blitzball is too hard to play, so that's why it's boring.
Blitzball is fun, but only after you've done something boring. For example, you've just gone through the Sunken Cave collecting >shudder< Ghosts for the M.Arena, and you're in need of something less patience-shattering.
So, you go to the airship, and head towards Omega Ruins for some leveling/equipping, but find that boring after a while. So you jump into Blitzball and have a game or two, but any more and you'll grow tired of it.
Basically, you either love it or you hate it.

i'm not sure why so many people are saying it's hard. Just hire brother and winning will be easy :) also, scout Nimrook and hire him, b/c he's an AWESOME goalie :)
Played the game until my eyes started to bleed, it was fun in the beginning but well, in the end Tidus got to good and he was unstoppable so the whole challenge of wining was washed away, no excitement when you just have to use Jecht shot to do a goal... So after a while it gets boring, reaaaaaaaally boring... Not even if the whole team attacks you at the same time……
i got frustrated because the aurochs had such higher stats than me. i guess it was only fun later on when i managed to score.
They had higher stats than you?
Okay, that's a bad thing? You're supposed to use your other people's strengths to get in a position so you can score:P Have a person with high endurance go up towards the other team to lead them away from your side of the sphere pool, have someone with good pass follow him, pass it back around the pool, when all the other team is on the other side, and w00, you're clear to score!
I hate having the other team all rode up on me. although it's funny when like half of them miss being able to block.

It was fun at first, but gets really boring after a while.
Iit takes quite a bit of time to get used to it, but once you assemble a good team, you can get really addicted to it. I was for a while, and I got my wins in the high seventies, but I stopped playing once I got sick of it.

Blitzball sucks like a hooker... it was out of place... just awful.
May be, but it did give the game it's own origionality, plus it can be okay the 1st time you play ffx, once you complete it, then blitz gets boring :cool:

I spend 80h per game for playing Blitzball to gain all overdrives for Wakka. After 70 plays it's starting to getting bored :boohoo: .
I enjoy it alot it isn't as fun as it was the first few times since my players are god players and I win every game just about game I play it alot tohugh its fun. :)

My first playthrough I didn't, but the second time I was able to. Ject Shot is your best freind.
