I just started FF8, but FF10's Omega was easier than those Egyptian Pillar things in Omega Dungeon.
Ruby makes me cry :crying2: Omega was pretty easy though...
Ruby and Emerald where easy they were pushovers to inexperienced players all you need is the right materia equipped and your done.
i think Omega weapon from 8 X s weapons where so easy they shouldnt even hold the names of weapon plus they looked crap bad animation design for them
Omega (FF8), Ruby, and Emerald all require preparation to overcome, and not much more. You have to be prepared in different ways for Omega and FF7's Weapons, and it's not easy to determine which Weapon is most difficult. It definitely takes more preparation to beat Ruby and Emerald, so by that line of thought, I suppose they're more difficult.
I found Ozma from FF9 to be a more challenging fight then any Weapon, though.
i don't seem to think so. he's the strongest and best looking of all the Weapons i've experienced.Quote:

Omega Weapon a la ff8 was rather difficult, I mean, it wasn't difficult because I only ever did it once with holy wars +invincible moon to see what the proof of omega was like. Ultima weapon was incrediably easy though. I had to keep refighting him because I kept forgetting to draw eden. at level 100 even.
The first time I played ffx omega and ultima weapons were like 'omgomgomg ;_;;;;;;;;;' and I was like '@.x YOU LIE' when my friend said he thought they were just another fiend.
But in my second game I found out just how right he was.
It's sad how easy they are in x-2 though:/
Neither of those guys are Weapons.Quote:

Omega Weapon from FF8 was the hardest for me. Hes pretty easy if you use holy wars but without.....sheesh thats all i can say. Hes extremely hard. Next up would be the Emerald Weapon. followed by Ruby. The weapons from X were too easy.....but i guess they had to be since there is no save points near them.
This may be a bit off topic, but did the giant of bab-il from FFIV resemble a weapon to anyone else? If so, I would go with that, because going inside that POS involved a lot of fighting some reletively tough normal dudes plus a few bosses.
Oh, crap... I just felt like quoting almost everyone who have been posting in this tread. :p
I dissagree. And wimpy Omega actually IS easier than Ultima when fought at level 100.Quote:

Omega from FF8 is the "strongest" when it comes to HP and powerfull attacks... however... that doesn't make him harder than some of the other Weapons... and Ultima Weapon actually have higher "stats" (str, mag, spr etc) at level 100... except HP, ofcourse.Quote:

But if not... well... then either Ruby or Emerald I guess... or maybe Ultima Weapon from FF8... :pQuote:

4) Gravia= If all your characters defended and only have 1 HP, then they won't take any dammage at all. Even if Omega will use his normal attack... your defending characters won't take any dammage.
5) Terrabreak= Defending characters will take 0 dammage from every hit. Pice of cake.
6) Now you just need to heal a bit. If your characters still only have 1 HP... use a megaelexir or something. Omega will use the magic "Ultima" which shouldn't cause too much trouble.
7) Light Pillar= Just revive the killed character with "Full Life"
8) Repeat. I just described how to survive... but all you need to do is use aura and trow in a few limmitbreaks every once and then. That's up to you.
I have personaly defeated Omega Weapon from FF8 blindfolded... and also by using Squall only + no Lionheart or hero-items... AND I have also defeated Omega without any stats effecting junctioning... only commands like "Item", "Defend" and "GF" etc. Now... I think that's reason enough for me to not call him hard.
Blindfolded?
I also say Omega from FFVIII is the hardest. I guess he's easy with Ultima's strategy, but for all the others I've never needed to come up with a strategy. That makes him the hardest.
That's right:Quote:

I've defeated Ultimecia this way as well.
I have to come to the conclusion that Ultima Shadow operates on an entirely different plane of logic then the majority of us.
Not a bad thing - it's just an explanation for his tendency to want to make things harder for himself (which simply could not be understood by me prior to coming up with the aforementioned theory).
For the record, I'm just joshin' ya.
Yes, however... there's still a few who share my point of view! :love:Quote:

Oh boy I think I'll have to try that Blind fold trick, then again I dont' even know if I fought omega on my first and only time through 8... hmm... maybe... maybe not. All well ultimecia was wimp and if omega is weaker then I feel sorry for him.
The only weapon that has been mentioned that I have fought but not beat is Omega from FF 5. he beat me up idiscrimatory... of course after giving up and looking at a faq on how to beat him I saw I was well below lvl and classes and I was to lazy to go back and level. meh... laziness is annoying.
Hardest weapon? Definitely the Diamond Sword, Diamonds are as hard as it comes... Oh, is that not what you meant? ;) :D :p
Well... it depends on how to fight him. But as soon as you know the trick, Omega is easy as crap.Quote:

yeah but the real challenge with Omega is figuring out his pattern 1st time through the game without an FAQ
I can't believe no one has mentioned Atma Weapon.
Feion
Because Rasp > Atma Weapon. That battle is just that simple... :(Quote:

There is also no easy way to beat him via tricks such as kotr with counter and mimic materia for emerald weapon etc.
However penance is still not my hardest boss - i would have to say that it's ozma from ff9 - reasons--------his attacks are completely random and his power can knock out party members of any level. I say that bosses with an arsenal of magic that can give you a variety of disabling abilities (especially confuse and mini) as well as having meteor dealing random damage are taking the 'hardest boss' top spot for me1
Maybe my characters are all super buff or something, but I could always defeat Atma more quickly by physically attacking then by trying to reduce his MP to 0. Either that, or I always came close, then gave up on the MP trick, and just starting beating away at him.
1) Penance is not a WeaponQuote:

whoops - just realised - for some reason I thought you were referrng to hardest bosses - so anyway - hardest weapon would have to be Ruby weapon from ff7 - mainly due to the fact that he could wipe out characters completely from battle and that you had to target three of his body parts makes this battle a living nightmare for me - especially when you dont believe in sure fire strategies which kind of make the battles easy and boring.
chaos: I have to agree with Ultima on every single aspect, as always when it comes to this subject!
Rubedo: Ruby and Emerald both had strategies to make them very vulnerable. For Ruby, have KOTR and have the "absorb" Materia attached to them, so when you attack, and Ruby counters with Ultima, you still live :D (Or at least something to that extent)
Trowa: Through my first play, when I didn't level up all the way, I found Omega harder, simply because of Terra Break and some of his other killer moves. Afterwards, also after a ton of junctioning, and mass leveling up at the Island Closest to Hell, Ultima turned into a pain in the ass. *Sits and stares and sits and stares*
:DQuote:

It actually was the same for me on my first plays... and then suddenly... I found out how usefull the "Defend" command really was. And Omega became an ant even without all the cheap tricks some people use.
With Ruby Weapon I lose all my faith!!!
ive went through ff7 again but this time Emerald weapon. Ultimate was easy as pie i learned shadow flare from him even though it missed
Well, Atma, Emerald, Ruby, Ultima (VIII), and Omega are all relatively easy. Omega from FFV was somewhat of a challenge, but that raises the question of whether or not it's actually a Weapon. I'll say that it is, simply so I can answer the question.
I'm surprised no one has tried to suggest one of the "false rumor" Weapons in FFVII, and I am profoundly thankful for that.
Atma sorta has to be easy, so you can like. . . keep playing the game?
Well, there were actually two Atmas in FFVI. The second one didn't have "Weapon" as part of its title, but it was a palette swap of the original. You can finish the game without fighting that particular Atma, although it's not very difficult.
