Yoaka Amano :D
He's my personal hero, and this amuses me to no end.
But don't try to get around the swear filter, or Leeza will edit your post with her snot green font. :p
Just use the standard HTML tag way to get around it in that instance. I don't think we should get rid of the swear filter for just one name that doesn't come up often.
Anything else, France?
Pfft, you're no fun. *pokes*
I aim to please, as always.
You could also use HTML entities to get around it...
I thought we were going to fix that.
I blame Unne! He's always hated the Japanese.
Hey now! Don't go blaming Unne...At least, not until the elections are over.
Unne is against the Japanese! Vote, uh... I forget which party I liked best.
pink & fluffy repreazant
ake mushrooms plz.
There's only one word I ever wanted censored. I don't know who added that other word. So, you're all jerks. In conclusion, you all suck. PS I hate you all. Also I might ban some of you. Probably Raistlin. And so forth and so on.
There's a simple way around that you know.
Yosh'itaka Amano.
Just put a little ' in the middle of the word and it's good. Not so big a deal really. Of course, usually things that show up on this forum really aren't that big a deal.
I wasn't suggesting getting rid of the swear filter. Rather, I was suggesting that it should be fixed so that we can actually talk about Yoskullskullskullskullaka Amano normally.
I had no idea that was possible.
It's possible, but you'll have to place the word you want to censor out alone in {}
Like... take dog.
if you put dog, it'll censor out dog:
dog = :skull::skull::skull:
doghouse = :skull::skull::skull:house
put {dog}, it'll only censor dog by itself.
dog = :skull::skull::skull:
doghouse = doghouse
of course, when you place the s-word in {} that leaves some words out in open that can be considered foul, such asty,
head, (though who'll use
head anyways?) dog
, etc....
Of course, it's not that bad a word as the f-word. :P
of course, I don't have a problem with it. It forces me and others to use creative substitutes.
Shame it's INCORRECT. If you're gonna split it, at least split it between syllables correctly, e.g. Yoshi'taka. Even then, it looks messy :pQuote:

I was proving a point, the apostrophe was inserted utterly at random.
The censor will not prevent anyone who really wants to swear from swearing. It does, however, help catch the occasional slipup; or in edczxcvbnm's case, it catches quite a lot. :p
shitake! (ph34r the HTML entities!)
You come to our forums, you speak our language! No Japanese! Not even names!
Yes, we speak Californian here.
I suppose that might make the "Who's the hottest FF girl" threads more interesting, as people have to start describing the characters instead of naming them :pQuote:

Huh? Why bother? Yoshitaka Amano. See? No filter. :pQuote:

Looking forward to that. I may even work it into that stand-up comedy routine I was thinking of putting together (but haven't been drunk enough to start)
The simpliest way to get around the filter is just put "<>/>" between the word.
Yosh<>/>itaka --> Yosh>itaka.
Is </> even valid HTML? :p
You know what he meant. :p
I have no idea what you are talking about :erm:Quote:

Please don't turn this into that South Park episode, for your sake.
censorship is still wrong.
LOL REMEMBER THAT SOUTH PARK EPSIODE WHERE THE GUY IN ORANGE DIED?! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL SO FUNNY HE DIED! LOL! :D :lol: :chuckle: :hahaha: :exdee: :grinpink: :laugh: :chef: :chef: :chef:Quote:

South Park is dumb ;o
:love: :love: :love: :love:
the filter thing also works for making smilies into text. example: :D becomes :D when, say, [z] (with < and > in place of [ and ]) is added between the : and the D
:DQuote:
