Anything but proper language, be it English, Spanish, Russian or whatever, upsets me as much as 1337 does.
1337 annoys the hell out of me. But, now that I don't play Counter-Strike anymore, I don't hear it that much.

L337 sp33k annoys me to no end. It was old back in 1996, and in 2000 if you used it in front of me I'd have dope slapped you. Using terrible spelling and grammar (I'm not talking bad spelling and the occasional grammatical error, I'm tlaking abot dis stuf) really gets on my nerves too. It's one thing if English isn't your primary language, it's another if you've been speaking it all your life and still have the linguistic skills of a 2 year old. In conclusion, proper spelling is ace.

Yes, simple as that. Also, using U for you and such stuff, unless playing a FPS online (in which case you usually have about 5 seconds to type or you'll die).
I find it amusing and will use it on occassion when I'm trying to be funny.

Funny in certain circumstances, but generally annoying. I tend to stay away from it.
If I see it, I just type properly so they can't understand what I'm saying.

It's annoying more than anything. 1337 in itself is a notable number because of it, but otherwise it's all just annoying.
I don't care who uses it, but if someone is talking in leet on a forum or to me, I ignore it happily. :)
Ya the blatent disregard for all grammar and spelling online bugs me to no end. I haven't really encountered 1337 since Counter Strike (I still play, just not online). I sometimes say sw33t or something, but that whole thing where not a single character consists of less than two other characters like slashes or whatnot ... ya, that can go.

I make fun of people who talk 1337 in chat-rooms. They try to act angry when I piss them off, but I just can't take them seriously when they type like that. It's amusing.

I don't mind a little bit, but anything beyond that is highly annoying.

Yes, I've done this plenty of times. My friend Mike and I would walk around talking l337 around the cooler people just to confuse the hell outta them. :)

I don't even know what most of this ridiculous language means. So yeah, I hate it. I'd probably still hate it even if I did know what all of these terms meant. What's the point of trying to have a conversation with these little codes being used and crap.

Whenever I see people complaining about language on message boards, in a topic like this, there's some 6 posts that don't follow proper grammar or spelling but educate others on how horrible the subject bastardization really is.

I can't stand leet, the only time it's funny is when you're mocking someone who actually does speak it. For the record, I can type in leet, but I've never used it unless I'm making jokes about it.
I can stand it in mobile text when people are trying to save if moneys hard to come by but on the net it just annoys me and I think its totally unnecessary. OMFG DA WRRRD U AS T3 WHO-LLLL LETRRRS N IT!1!!

Once I banned someone from a chatroom. I had made him my kick bitch for using 1337 excessively, and was about to ban him when he started going into a rant about how his rights are being violated, and how he should be able to speak what he claimed was an actual language, rivalling French and Spanish. So I made fun of him and banned him.
This doesn't mean I hate 1337. I really don't like to have any opinion or feeling in regards to something so pointless. Besides, that guy was an idiot and it was fun kicking him.
1337 speak is the stuff the 12 year old gamers on xbox live.They put that crap in there names then they act all kewl and crap talking about halo 2.And how they suck at every other FPS except for Halo.I think little kids just want to sound kewl or 1337 as they put it.
