Has anyone ever read any Greek mythology, or Roman, or Norse?
Yeah a little bit, don't remember much of it though.
Yeah! But it didn't catch my attention... well not as much as Hercules or Xena did.
:D
Yep, required for school, plus I find it usually interesting.
Yeah... Norse and Greek is pretty cool once you get into it, but it has been awhile since I have read any of it though. I should read it again, but I am too lazy.
The Odyssey was great. Since I'm not a big reader, I never bothered to read any more of it. Fascinating stuff, though.
Yeah, i did Latin at school so learning about the various greek/roman mythologies was compulsory; since then ive always liked reading about it cos its pretty interesting.
man, i wish it was compulsary in my school, i would ACE that class(pun intended)
Yup. :eek:Quote:

Anyways, I really enjoyed Homer's "The Illiad" when I read it. It beats out his "Odyssey" any day.
The Odyssey was awesome. Illiad was ok.
I love Greek mythology. I have read a couple books about it. Narcissist is one of my favorite stories.
Homer and Virgil are easily two of the greatest writers/poets that walked the Earth and it says quite a lot about both that their work has survived throughout the ages and that we, nearly 2000 and 3000 years later still found their work relevant, riveting, and awe-inspiring.
Also the work of Aeschylus and Sophocles are very good.
Take care all.
I know a great deal on Greek mythology, and by proxy, a fair bit of Roman mythology.....and I know a fair bit of Norse mythology...including some of the obscure gods....
I also no a little bit of Hindu mythology too...
I conducted a serious study on mythology in general where I would read any book I could find from 5-8th grade. Greek, Roman, Germanic, Norse, Egyptian, American Indian, ect. After that it was more of something to do when I was bored.
I've done a pretty good study of it. ^_^ Greek mythology, that is.
A lot of Greek, Roman, and Norse mythology is cool, but Greek and Roman myth also have an annoying number of stories that basically consist of gods getting mortal women pregnant, which are simply boring.
I've played Final Fantasy VII. That counts.
I would image it would, yes.Quote:

Yeah, I had to read the abridged version of The Odyssey.
Yeah since i'm from Greece i have read almost all the Ancient Greek Mythology ^_^
I have to say that Odyssey is excellent and one of my best books.
Yup-Greek mythology is compulsory in school...I did it in 4th Grade! It's really really interesting, but I still have to read the Odyssey and the Illiad. :(
I've read a fair bit of greek and other sorts of mythology and find it very interesting. However when I tried to read the Odyessy it did my head in (technical term ;) )
we only briefly went over the Odyessy in grade 11 english, ive read quite alot of Greek mythology, a fair bit of Roman, and a tasting of Norse.
It's Narcissus, Del. :)
I read a gigantic book on mythology back in fourth grade, so it's safe to say I've always been interested in the material.
Yes, I was of course thinking of The Narcissist Lex Luger. Thanks Fres.
Clash of the Titans will always be a personal favorite.
I wish I would have taken the Greek/Roman mythology class that was offered in high school but I never did. =/
I love the story of Eros ( Cupid ) and that one chick his mommy hated. -kicks Aphrodite-
