Hmmmm. Human growth is an interesting thing.
Yeah, that's about as weird as they come.
OMG.....i've never seen anything like it before.Man humans are weird creatures that we are.Why do doctors always love to kill off the most disadvantage baby like that just so the more developed child looks better and doesnt get made fun of? I wish I had a twin on my head who was parasitic.
These things happen.
That just freaks me out.
I wish I had one of those.Let along wishing i had a little sister. But these things will never come true *sigh*
Yeah, I'd just love to have a dead, rotting, conjoined twin hanging off of my head throughout my life. I'm sure it would be a real hit with the ladies.Quote:

Yes, but it likely would have died due to a number of things later had they not removed it, possibly killing the girl as well.
I would stick my finger in my parasatic twin and see if it would bite me. XD
Yeah your most likely right about it dying and taking me with it if i had one lol.
Wow, nice way to joke around about that.
I really don't know what to say about this.. but human growth is an interesting and also a strange, strange thing.
The thumbnail picture of the first picture looks photo shopped.
Creepy...though it does look photoshopped...but I believe it's real seeing as it's connected to a news report.
oh sure. the press never makes up false news stories.
but you know, this isn't really that unbelievable. i'm suprised so many of you guys are actually suprised and acting like this is something weird and out of this world. heard of worse. glad the kid's ok.
I'd be a little skeptical around this story. Even though Reuters is a fairly respectable group, a lot of Yahoo!'s news comes from Weekly World News, the wonderful people who brought us "Batboy"
So yeah, I'm not so sure about this.
Oh, well, it could be false, but I dunno...I am sure it is preety amusing if it's real, and things like this have happened before, it is known as "chimerism". You know John Merry, The Elephant Man? Same thing. By the way, David Lynch rules.
That picture looks horribly photoshopped, but besides the photo, I believe it.
The condition's real but the photo is obviously false. Not only is the skin on the second head obviously fake looking, but the shadow the "second head" projects onto the floor is unrealistic.
It looks real enough to me, just look at the slideshows.... Glad to hear that she's doing ok.
lordblazer, you don't have any class do you? There just some things, like this, that just aren't things to joke about. It's distasteful.
I showed this to my friend and she's horribly upset that they "killed" the parasite head. She's going on about how it's some sort of injustice and that morally it's wrong because it could smile and blink. They said it wasn't capable of independant life, so I honestly see nothing wrong with removing it. Especially so that the girl can live a normal life, aside of being sort of infamous for being born that way.
I'm just glad that she's doing okay.
As far as whether it happened or not, oh well, it doesn't really matter. If it did happen it's good that it worked out, if it didn't, oh well. Like Kishi said, these things happen. I don't find it too terribly hard to believe.
dude i was dead serious lol.Quote:

Oh... my... god... I REMEMBER THAT EPISODE!!!
Actually, the elephant man had something completely different - he looked completely normal at birth but had a very, very rare genetic disorder called Proteus Syndrome that caused abnormal growth od muscle and soft tissue.
The parasitic, conjoined twin is developmental disorder, not a genetic one. Plus, it's very much believable. You'd be suprised at what can happen if the slightest thing goes wrong when an embryo is developing...
That's sad, but weird at the same time!
That looked odd.
Snopes says it's true, MSNBC has it, and there's another picture. It's real all right.
Somebody on another forum suggested that the blinking and smiling were random muscle movements, and not a sign of life. Makes sense to me.
The photo looked a bit...weird, but if you say its real then I'll believe y'all. That's just horrible and scary and sad, actually, coz Ouch, your friend is RIGHT. They just killed someone's head.
:(
Kinda reminds me of those conjoined twins who died during their operation in Singapore. But I'm glad this baby is doing ok. :)
