whats your least fav character in ff6 everyone mines cyan
I didn't have much love for Gau.
ya i found gau worthless his monster skills were crappy
The problem with Gau is that his rages don't actually tell you what they do, so, then you have to go to a walkthrough so you don't waste the battle using a crappy rage and the whole thing reeks of effort...
Gau sucks.
GAU RULZ!!
Well, not so much. I just have him in my nick cuzz he just came into my team when I was looking for a nick.
He's kinda cool, I guess. I found his rages very usefull. And he's a guy who eat dried meat with big monsters. Isn't THAT cool?
Gau > Umaro in every way.
Umaro sucks.
Gau is the only character who can use Flare Star, which is the coolest looking spell in the whole game. Therefor I like him. :lovers:
However I think Gau is my least favorite playable chracter though he has some funny lines...
Meh. Gau sucked.
I don't like Gau and Celes wery much.
Umaro was not very much liking to my own.
Celes.
She's useful as all getout, but I just dont' like her.
Umaro is poo.
Cyan, tho art suck.
Gau. I don't want to spend time getting him abilities while not gaining experience, so I don't bother using him.
relm's a stupid litle *****
It's a tie between Relm and Strago. They like to hang out on the airship a lot. :)
I dont like strago
gau, Relm, and strago were my least favorite characters, as I found all of them useless. They were filler space in Kefka's Tower to take damage in my parties.
I'm just curious, what is it about Celes that bugs you so much?Quote:
Celes.

I have much love for Gau up through the escape from Vector. Beyond that, I don't use him all that much.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Gogo. Being able to Mimic is nice, but his defensive stats are atrocious.
I hated gau and cyan. :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:
lol so true :beer:Quote:

Well, let's make a list. And then we'll make a flash cartoon and kill 'em up. Everyone of them. Cool be, problem no-no!! Flash know someone??? Maybe??
Oh, Yoda is the greatest green guy EVER.
You should check Newgrounds, there are some flash movies like this there.Quote:

I approve of Terra. After her, Celes just feel conniving and worthy of KO^_^
(No, I don't have a real reason. I don't really want one, either. Undirection loathing is much more fun.)
Sounds good to me! I think the same of Rosa from 4. Celes is, to me, a character I don't really care about either way.Quote:

Least Favorite Character: Strago. Blue magic just isn't my thing.
Either Strago, Gau, or Setzer. Setzer and Gau spent pretty much equivical time and my party- and that was when it was required.
i'ma go w/ Relm. i don't really find her useful @ all, and her Paint ability ain't all that fantastic imo. i think she's just kinda pointless.
I never use Relm or Gau.
Relm, by far.
I thought Control was pretty useful. And Memento Ring is a good relic for some parts.
Relm is also a powerfull magic user... if I recall correctly she has the highest Mag stats out of all the characters.Quote:

The ones I dislike the most are Umaro, Gau and Mog. I found Relm very useful as I am a great lover of Magic. Relm, Terra and Celes make up my team, the fourth character changes between Locke, Edgar and Sabin.
I don't like Relm and Strago. And I never use Umaro because I love Espers.
Cyan is my favorite, I don't know how so many people hate him...
I didn't like Locke until I had capture, worst character though... I really didn't like Gau or Umaro, I'd rather control my characters than watch them go crazy, so them...
THE JACKEL
I've just remembered something that may save Umaro from complete degredation. He is the only character who can use physical attacks on tha Tower of Fanatics without having to have Berserk cast upon them. I usually take a party of three low-level characters and Umaro and watch him obliterate the enemies without me even having to lift a finger.
Because of the previous post I'm saving Umaro from being my pick. Now I'll go with Strago, because he just is horrible.
I don't like General Leo because you only get to use him for one fight... then he dies.
what a wuss...
I think that in general the fairer sex was very poorly represented in this game. Terra was a pretty good fighter, but emotionally, she was a weakling - I didn't like her at all until she decided to fight for the children, as it were. Celes is too much of a hard-ass, and was hard to love on a personal level, and Relm...well, take her or leave her, I don't care.
In any case, I actually think that my least favorite character is Strago, or at least, he's the one I use the least.
Also, I'm going to give a shout-out to Gau - when you actually spend some time with him on the Veldt (okay, a lot of time), he can be pretty invaluable. The last time I played through, I made him a member of my Dream Team. He also can become a fairly powerful magician. You just have to nurture him a little.
Ok first off my most useless character is Relm. Sketch is terrible. the only use control has is for stragos lores so toss that out cause he is 3rd worst in my list.
Also the idea of a LITTLE nurturing for Gau. give me a break!!!! You could spend eons on the veldt and he would still be a nearly worthless character. It isn't the fact that some of the rages wont do incredible stuff it's the fact that the Incredible stuff only happens once in a thousand rounds and the other 999 rounds are almost worthless (exageration). Gau doesnt even make it into my Kefkas tower party. he and Relm stay on the damn airship and babysit each other.
Oh come on guys, give Relm a break. She's THE best magic user in the game (better than both Terra and Celes). Trying to level her up as a fighter would be incredibly stupid because she doesn't make good one. Best to level up what she's good at. I never use the special skills too much other than Terra's and maybe Edgar's. The worst character to me would be Celes. I found her quite annoying and she took too much of the spotlight away from Terra, who was an amazing character. I didn't like Strago very much either.
I have bad memories of Relm. The first four or five times I tried to play through the game, every single time she used Sketch for the first time (when fighting Ultros in the cave with the mini-Goddess statues) the game would freeze. We eventually had to get a new copy just so we could play past that part. So everytime I see her use Sketch, I always brace myself just a little, because I totally expect that to happen again.
Umaro. You can't control him. He always did stupid things in battle. I like to name him Assrag.
Umaro was awesome, y'all don't even know. Put a Gauntlet on him and nothing else, and he's already got 255 attack. (It's surprising how many people don't know about the Gauntlet thing.) That and the Rage Ring, and he's even better. C'mon, who wouldn't like a guy that can throw other characters at enemies? He's the only guy that can fight in the Fanatics' Tower, unless you cast Berserk on somebody else. The only thing I don't like about that is that the Tower is a great place to learn magic, so you're wasting some of the Magic Points you get just by having him in the party. He doesn't need magic to be effective
Plus, the Snow Suit is one of the best armors in the game. I always go bet at the Coliseum to get one for Gau and Mog.
As for Gau, he does take quite a bit of work, but he also has good magic, and good evasion. You put Beads and a Zephyr cape on him (especially with the Snow Suit), and the guy dodges everything like the Matrix. And you may not like his Rages, but some are good, if you find 'em, and he doesn't use MP when he casts a spell under a Rage. I think the White Dragon shows up on the Veldt, and all it does is cast Pearl every turn.
I didn't have too much of a problem with Relm, even though the low effectiveness rate on her Control always pissed me off. When it worked, it was great...especially when you could Control something, then have everybody else Drain and Osmose it dry before you finally offed it.
The guys I like least are Strago and Locke. Sure, blue magic is good, and you can steal some good stuff if you know who has it, but it's just an inconvenience. Not too good at attacking or magic, and Strago's Lores are just a hassle to learn. Not worth it, in my opinion.
Strago grated on my nerves on so many levels, both storywise and battlewise.
I've never understood why so many people hate Umaro. I thought he was cool. I know you can't control him, but so what? What would you do with him if you could? The exact same thing he does when you don't control him: Beat the crap out of your enemy. And people get upset about his character development. For one thing, he's sort of a secret character, just like Gogo, and Gogo had no development either. Besides, how do you develop a yeti?
My least favorite is Strago. He's incredibly annoying and useless as well.
Oh, and I think its funny that people like Terra so much and hate Celes. A friend of my hated the game at first BECAUSE of Terra, and liked it when Celes was introduced.
have to be Cyan, although Sabin is annoying too.
you just chose two of the better attackers in the game, i bet you're a magic person...Quote:

Sabin was one of my favorite characters. The only thing I didn't like about him is the Spiraler. What in the hell is the point of a blitz that would kill you and give your points to everybody else? Why can't you just use Mantra, and keep your own life?
Umaro was PERFECT for Coliseum battles. No casting stupid spells that don't work, no waiting for swordtechs to charge up, no damn Spiraler. A Gauntlet, and either the Rage Ring, or a Ribbon, or maybe a Running Shoes, and he's awesome.
I didn't like Relm. Little girls annoy me :p Strago either, old men annoy me.
Celes was awesome ^^ Also General Leo is the best ever <3
-Terra: using morph or not she kiks butts
-Celes: just let her use her magic
-Zetser: give him the fixed dice, or the coin toss for good results
-Locke: he atacks and an steal at same time, useful to get economizers
-Gau: just use a good rage
-Strago: the gramps can use grantrain
-Relm: she has the best magic pwr.
-Edgar: using chainsaw or air anchor could be useful
-Sabin: what could be the problem? his brain?
-Shadow: interceptor counter atacks are good and the throw, give him a genji glove
-Cyan: his problem about charging srdtech goes away with an oferring and a genji glove
-Ghost(from the fantom train): he can posees
-Gogo: he can be like anyone
-Umaro: green cherry , blizard orb, rage ring, gauntlet any stuff could be of use
-General Leo: he has an offering, the crystal and many more cool stuff he is great (R.I.P)
The only one left is Banon, he totaly sucks a good thing about him.... the rod punisher nothing more

My original statement still stands, though. Relm's personality makes me want to lose faith in the world.
i totaly forgot about those two, and yes they are worst than banon, it is good to kill them with fire at the start of the game to have terra gain more experience

Banon had his Health, which came in handy quite a bit at that point in the game. I don't think I ever made him do anything except Health.
And I wouldn't imagine that Vicks/Biggs and Wedge would count, because they're only with you for a couple minutes and play no major role. No storyline, no background, no special abilities. They're just escorts.
I HATE RELM!!!!!!!!
He is Pethetic!!!!
Just so you know, Relm is a girl.Quote:

You seem to confuse genders a lot. You called Relm a he, and Vivi a she.Quote:

i thought cyan was kool. im naming my kid that. strago is my least favorite character.
I am playing the game through for a second time and I can't find a single situation it would be wise to use her. When u fight uncle ulty near those statues u have to use her sketch and then u let her to rot in airship, 'cos she's just completely useless! 'kay, she has that strong magic power but it is not all so useful when she bites the dust after first blow. Even Gau is more useful.
I thought Strago and Gau were pretty uselss. I didn't like Gau's skills at all, and he was really weird. As for Strago, like somebody else mentioned before me, Blue Magic is just a hassle to learn. Not worth it at all, in my opinion.
I enjoyed the wide spectrum of character personalities in the game, and wouldn't exclude any of them. However, in terms of who was my least VALUABLE character, it'd have to be a toss up between Gau and Strago (like many of you agree). For some reason I actually didn't mind using Relm. However, her "use" was limited to equipping her with a Heal Rod and using it every turn.
Final Fantasy III (6) Draft Board:
1. Terra – Superior attacks and Magic make her the overall number one pick.
2. Sabin – Sabin is no compromise at #2. Bum rush is awesome, and his overall strength throughout the game make him one of the best characters in any FF.
3. Edgar – Tools are a huge offensive help, a good defensive character and mage.
4. Gogo – His mimic ability alone allows Gogo to jump to the 4 slot despite lackluster other stats. A surprise to some I’m sure.
5. Cyan – Some people we hating on Cyan, but I think they’ll find that Cyan equipped with the Odin esper and quick can do loads of damage with swrdtech towards the end of the game.
6. Locke – His stealing ability allows you to some unique treasure (economizer) if you know were to find it. Also fairly strong offensively if properly equipped.
7. Celes – Very solid character, mostly a mage, but has somewhat strong attacks.
8. Setzer -- Mediocre attacks until you get the fixed dice. Not a particularly strong mage.
9. Umaro – Underrated character by some. Has no use as a mage but put in a party with Mog and equipped with a rage ring he can certainly do some physical damage. And besides, hidden characters are just cool.
10. Shadow – Throw command is okay. Average character.
11. Mog – The moogle, the mascot for the entire game, not the strongest of characters, but still cool nonetheless. Dance attack is basically worthless.
12. Strago -- Strago barley makes it into the final dungeon and onto the board at # 12. I never really appreciated the lore technique. Not a strong physical or defensive character.
13. Gau – Not worth the effort, in my opinion.
14. Relm – Just plain bad.
There you have it…the draft board according to me.
Setzer...his only use was his airship, which I left him aboard when I went to Kefka's tower. muahahahaha
Everything about him sucks, name one thing he excells at!?
Although Relm does suck through most of the game, atleast she has extremely high magic power which is very useful if you employ it. People dissing Cyan needs to stop, w/ the Offering + Genji Glove = maximum pwnage.
The best characters in my game were:
1. Sabin
2. Gogo (if he copies sabin)
3. Mog
4. Cyan
5. Terra
6. Shadow
A lot of people find Setzer useful for one thing. They use the pause feature to hit the kills all enemy slots combo every time so they one round win all of their battles making him useful. To me he is third most useless in the game ahead of only Relm and Gau. Relm is flat out useless and the glitch with sketch is plain annoying and Gau well i just don't want to spent 12 hours trying to get all his friggin rages and then not have the rage use the proper ability when I need it so he stays in the airship for kefka's tower.
