if you had a sword, what would you do with it? would you attack people with it? would you use it to defend the world from evil? would you go after that squirrel thats been eating your peanuts???
also, what kind of sword is it?
if i had a sword i think i would shave with it...... and get that pesky squirrel. oh yeah, my sword would be a big bastard sword.
Here's a boring answer for you, but I would probably just hang it on a wall for display.

I would keep it in my room and hang it on my wall. Maybe take it outside or something and practice attacks with it. I don't know if I'd use a Katana, I prefer double edged broadswords.
I'd prefer a bastard sword, were I inclined to slice bits off of myself by mistake.
