...You can't force someone to stay. If they come in, say hi, and no one replies, why should they stay? Come on.
I mean they leave IMMEDIATLY after saying hi, and they say hi immediatly after entering chat. So within two seconds, they enter, say hi, then leave. It gets annoying.
The Internet is very harsh sometimes. Take two of these and call me in the morning.
Or, you know, don't call.
And what are you going to do to them, Joel? Kick them out? :rolleyes2
I think that if they do it three times or more have their IPs banned temporaraly.
*runs out the door*
Hey! You're not allowed to rent here anymore!
the people who stay and say stupid crap are much more annoying than those who leave immediately.
I don't know, I think it's a good idea. Why would you keep going in there just to say one word? Isn't that a form of flooding? *doesn't know chat rooms*
The server automatically bans them if they join and part too many times.
No one does that, and for all anyone knows those poor guys could just be having trouble with the awful java chatrooms. Or they're lagging.
"Hi" *nothing shows up on the screen*
"Oh, it's broke." *leave and maybe try again*
The server doesn't, but Ragnarok does :p

*cough*
Bah, the Feedback forum can double for chat-related matters as well
No it can't. I will not have it.

As you can see, this gets annoying.
I think someone is doing that just to mess with you.
I'm pointing fingers at you, Del! All twelve of them.
The Elitist Party declines to comment on these allegations.
First of all, you used to do the exact same thing. I think it's very rude of you to complain about something that you used to do all the time!

The problem is that the chat applet isn't perfect, so it's really not their fault. A lot of people don't understand IRC and never will, and would rather have a chatroom on AIM, a chatroom on Livejournal, or whatever. What do you want to do, anyway? If you had all the powers in the world, what would you do to correct this? They're not coming back because they probably closed the applet, so why would you want to ban them?
Please think about your feedback in the future so that other matters more deserving of attention can be addressed more quickly.
OWNED
What 'other matters'?
Hilarity.
That hasn't happened in oh... *thinks* two years? I see this happen at least once or twice a day.
The point is, you used to do it as well. Do not be a hypocrite.
Yeah, I *stopped* this however doesn't stop.
Give those newbies two years first, like you :p
And come to think of it... you banned me for that I beleive for awhile... if you can ban me for popping in, saying one word, then leaving why not others?
I'll try to come in chat more.
While the feedback is appreciated, I do wish you would take the topics within this forum a little more seriously. Nearly all of the threads you've made in this forum so far have contributed little in terms of feedback, and it isn't good that you've chosen to continue to push this, either.Quote:

If, by some chance, you were banned from the channel for simply saying one word, then an apology is probably needed, but that does not change the present or have anything to do with this topic.
If you really wish to see something done regarding this, explain what you would want done and how it would benefit any part of the community as a whole.
I'm pretty sure you can get banned for that, at least.Quote:

I don't get it.
That's cos' you're DUMB :-*
Nothing to be concerned with.
ALSO
Joel came in and out a million times, and he was just one person, what he's talking about are a few people comming in and out a few times each.
Yeah, that was already pointed out. Way to read, KANE! :pQuote:

If you have anything to contribute further, please create a new piece of feedback for users to comment on. I think this, in itself, has served too many more purposes than that which it was intended for; my apologies.
