paper round? i had one and it was great! only got £7 a week though....
I'm doing the same thing this year, I think. :( It scares me, but it has to be done.
Me, though, I'm getting a job at my dad's restaurant, where I can serve people yummy Italian food all day. And perhaps eat some myself.
So, my advice would be to get a job doing something you will enjoy, and not...picking up trash, or something equally boring. Or someplace you visit often, like the grocery store.
I'm not too experienced in this field, though, so that's about as much help as I can give. I hope you get a fun job, though. :)
:D
Sell lemonade for a quarter a cup.
Walgreens ^_^ Serious.
Babysitting. Unless you're like me and no good with kids or get tired of them very quickly.
You could mow grass for places around-- neighbors, churches, local businesses.
You could set up a sidewalk linux vending table. I've daydreamed about this and I think it'd be fun:D
You'd get like a table, and a few copies of the more wildly known distros (and keeping in with their and all the other terms of use, yay gpl), an umbrella, a couple of boxes and monitors, ask around to see if anyone has wifi so they could try out the internet, and some big industrial fans and lemonade.
Lemonade is crucial to this plan. It's your hook to get people in to play with the penguins, so to speak.
*coughs*
It could be fun though.
youknow what this is helping me too. and i need a job also!
I can't think of any job that a fourteen year old could have that could be considered even remotely lucrative. I guess you could babysit?
I still say try Walgreens :p I think they hire fourteen year olds. Or at least some do, because I know a fourteen year old working at a Walgreens.
well right now i get payed fopr back massages $20 buck a massage eh i'm not really complaining but i want a different job!
the nearest Walgreens is 50 minutes away.Quote:

You could try washing cars? I do.
organised crime
There's no such thing as a good summer job :D
so just find the one that pays the most with the least amount of work
That's the best advice so far. And he's right too, there's no such thing as a good summer job. They're just meant to be sucky. I just got a real job instead. Works for me. :scary:Quote:

I was a lifeguard in the summer for three years. I miss that. A whole lot, in fact. ;_;
How old do you have to be to get a job?

You're 14? Beg.
There are no goos summer jobs... because there are no good jobs! =(
This is why work and play are on the opposite side of the spectrum...
Except maybe Hugh Hefnor. I bet he has a good job.
(PS> When I was 14 I worked in Hell... I mean, McDonalds. You could try there... they love people who are desprate to work at min wage and know nothing about Unions so that they can suck them for all they're worth.)
*Hisses
